Why is Christ's eternal reign important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's eternal reign provides hope, assurance, and confidence in God's sovereign plan for His church.

The eternal reign of Christ is foundational for Christians as it instills hope and assurance amid life's temporal struggles. Believers can trust that Christ is actively ruling over all creation, working all things for their good, as stated in Romans 8:28. His reign assures us that no power in heaven or on earth can thwart His purpose to save and redeem His people. Additionally, the promise of His eternal reign motivates believers to confidently share the gospel and participate in the advance of His kingdom, knowing that His victory is guaranteed. Worshipping Christ in light of His authority brings peace and a sense of purpose to the believer's life.
