Why is it difficult for Christians to wait on God?

Answered in 1 source

Waiting on God can be hard due to our human nature which desires immediate results and control over circumstances.

For Christians, waiting on God is often challenging because of our inherent desire for immediate gratification and control over our lives. This struggle is rooted in our fallen nature, which leads us to attempt to influence our circumstances rather than trusting God's sovereignty. As illustrated in 1 Samuel 26, both David and Abishai faced the temptation to take matters into their own hands against Saul. David, however, recognized that allowing God to act in His timing was crucial for not only his faith but for upholding God's righteousness. Learning to wait teaches us to rely on God's wisdom rather than our own and helps shape our character to reflect His glory in His perfect timing.
