Why is it important for Christians to teach their children the Bible?
Answered in 1 source
Teaching children the Bible is vital as it lays a foundation for their faith and helps them understand the salvation available through Christ.
Christians are called to instill the truths of Scripture in the hearts of their children, much like Timothy's mother and grandmother did. The apostle Paul emphasized to Timothy that from childhood he had known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make one wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 3:15). This teaching not only aids in the cognitive understanding of God's Word but also fosters spiritual growth and reliance on the grace of God for savation. Such early instruction can lead to a lifetime of faith and reliance upon Christ as both Savior and Lord.
