Why is it wrong to worry according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

Worry is wrong because it demonstrates a lack of faith and trust in God's sovereignty and provision.

In Matthew 6:27, Jesus states, 'Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?' This rhetorical question illustrates that worrying accomplishes nothing and is ultimately an expression of unbelief. Worry can distract us from our duties as Christians and lead us to neglect worship and service to God. Instead of succumbing to anxiety, we are called to cast our cares upon the Lord, recognizing His faithfulness and sovereignty over our lives. This reflects the biblical call to live by faith and to prioritize spiritual over earthly concerns.
