Why is Jesus our intercessor?

Christ’s role as our intercessor is foundational to understanding the covenant of grace. In Hebrews 7:25, we see that He continually intercedes for us, advocating for believers with His blood as the payment for our sins. Just as Judah interceded for Benjamin, illustrating the principle of substitution, Jesus has taken our place, allowing us to go free while He bore our guilt and penalty. This intercessory work is not merely about pleading but is rooted in His righteousness, ensuring that our prayers and requests are presented to the Father through His merit. Thus, we have assurance that we are heard and accepted by God because of Christ.
