Why is love for fellow believers important according to the Bible?

Love for fellow believers is central in the Christian faith, as it reflects our love for Christ. In Revelation 2:4, the church at Ephesus is admonished for leaving their first love, which can be interpreted as a neglect of love towards both Christ and fellow believers. This love leads to unity and support within the body of Christ, as believers are called to bear one another's burdens and encourage one another in faith.
