Why is understanding Christ's deity important for worship?

The deity of Christ is foundational to authentic Christian worship. If one denies Christ's divinity, as stated in Philippians 3:3, their worship is misguided and lacks the Holy Spirit’s guidance. True worshipers recognize Christ as fully God and fully man, whose sacrificial death fulfills God’s justice for sin and offers righteousness to believers. True worship will therefore always recognize the authority of Christ, appreciate His redemptive work, and reinforce the believer's relationship with God as founded on His saving grace and truth.
