Warm greetings, friends, near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. His loving kindnesses, tender
mercies, and compassions are new every morning. Great is His
faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This is Sinner Save coming at
you with the following short evangelistic gospel message,
and God willing, this broadcast will reach you, Lema Charlie,
loud and clear. It is my hope and prayer unto
God most high, the only holy father, that his only begotten
son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness, be greatly exalted,
that his everlasting gospel be clearly proclaimed, that the
pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and that his
elect saints be greatly encouraged, cheered, and comforted in these
evil and perilous days. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please find enclosed encouragement
in so great salvation by the perfect and finished work of
our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy, and wretched sinners
by His sovereign free grace. That is to say, Almighty God
in His unmerited favor to save me and you from our sins and
from hell. A reading from 2 Peter 1, 4. whereby are given unto us exceeding
great and precious promises, that by these ye might be partakers
of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is
in the world through lust. Nothing will yield richer consolation
to our own souls than to take the word of God, cull out of
it every promise which it contains, carry them to the throne of grace,
and plead them before God. Pardon for every sin, peace with
God, holiness of life, and eternal glory are all secured to every
genuine believer by the priceless promises of our gracious, immutable,
and omnipotent God. Yet it is simply impossible to
fully comprehend the worth of God's inestimable promises in
this life. Who shall fathom the value of
deliverance from the torments which are endured by those who
are now cast into the lake of fire and brimstone? Or who shall
form a correct estimate of the glory and felicity, meaning happiness,
of heaven? None, but those who have experienced
the one or the other can form any just conception of either.
Nor could anyone fully and adequately comprehend what salvation imports
unless he has both endured the punishment from which a condemned
soul is rescued and partaken of the blessedness to which a
glorified soul is exalted before the throne of God. Eternity will
be too short to count the infinite worth of the exceeding great
and precious promises which are contained in the gospel of Christ. 2 Corinthians 7, 1, having therefore
these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from
all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in
the fear of God. Good message from preacher Charles
Simeon. I've read this short piece before,
but it bears repeating. Dear friends. It's entitled,
A Flawless Righteousness. We must have a righteousness
in which Jehovah himself cannot find a flaw. A righteousness
which Jehovah cannot mend. A righteousness which neither
sin nor Satan can mar. And unless we have on a righteousness
of this nature, we can never enter into the blessedness of
the world to come. Where then are we to find it? Eternal praises to the matchless
mercy of a covenant God. We have it in the blessed person,
glorious work, and spotless obedience of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. That's old-timer preacher William
Gadsby. In another's righteousness. In another's righteousness we
stand, and by another righteousness we are justified. All accusations
against us, founded upon our unrighteousness, we answer by
pointing to the perfection of the righteousness which covers
us from head to foot, in virtue of which we are unassailable
by law as well as shielded from wrath. Thy work alone, O Christ,
can ease this weight of sin. Thy blood alone, O Lamb of God,
can give me peace within. Thy love to me, O God, not mine,
O Lord, to thee, can rid me of this dark unrest and set my spirit
free. Looking to Christ alone. A reading from Hebrews 11, 6. But without faith it is impossible
to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Faith is necessary for salvation,
but we do not look to our faith to save us. Rather, in faith,
we look to Christ. Repentance is necessary for salvation,
but we do not look to our repentance to save us. Rather, in repentance,
we turn to Christ. There are graces which God works
in us as he saves us, but these graces are never to be the object
of our trust, confidence, or hopeful gaze. All the graces
God gives us in salvation are to be used to look to, turn to,
appreciate, and lay hold of Christ, who is our salvation. Hallelujah. Our God reigns over all. The Lord Jehovah governs all
and does His perfect will. His counsel He shall bring to
pass with His unerring skill. Throughout His spacious universe,
the Lord has sovereign sway. In heaven and upon this earth,
all things His will obey. Rejoice, ye people of the Lord. This word of comfort here, that
God your Lord reigns over all, should cancel every fear. He reigns in splendor, so be
calm. This is our confidence. The Lord
works all things for our good, so trust his providence. Of what use is the law? A reading from Romans 3, verses
19 and 20. Now we know that what thing soever
the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law, that every
mouth may be stopped and all the world may become guilty before
God. Therefore, by the deeds of the
law, there shall no flesh be justified in his sight, for by
the law is the knowledge of sin. The law of God is strict, demanding,
unyielding, and just. It makes no allowances for disobedience. God's precepts know no mercy.
The soul that sinneth, it shall die, as it's written in Ezekiel
18.20. The first law of God is indicative
of all divine law. Break it, and you face a just
recompense of reward, which is death. from Genesis 2, verses
16 and 17, The law of God was given to expose
the exceeding sinfulness of our guilt, to make us aware of the
consequences of violating His laws, to set forth the impossibility
of salvation by keeping the law, and to drive us to the only Savior
of lawbreakers. The law was our schoolmaster
to bring us to Christ, as it is written in Galatians 3.24. Since the law demanded death
for sin, Christ took upon himself the indebtedness of his people
to the law and died under its curse. As it is written in Galatians
3.13, Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being
made a curse for us. For it is written, cursed is
everyone that hangeth on a tree. The law leaves no wiggle room
for the sinner. Obey God or die. Thank God for Christ and His
sacrificial death, for He hath made Him to be sin for us, who
knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God
in Him. 2 Corinthians 5 21. We are justified freely by His
grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Romans
3.24. God justifies transgressors of
His law through the obedience and substitutionary, just as
satisfying death of His Son. How do we know that God accepted
our Savior and His sacrifice for sin? He was raised again
for, meaning because of, our justification. Romans 4.25 and
also from Romans 10.4, Christ is the end of the law for righteousness
to everyone who believeth. Outstanding message from preacher
Jim Bird. To glorify the Lord Jesus. as it's written in Acts 3.13,
the God of our fathers hath glorified his Son, Jesus. See, my soul,
how every part and portion of Scripture is directed to this
one subject, to glorify the Lord Jesus. What is the very design
of redemption but to glorify the Lord Jesus? What hath God
constituted a church for but to glorify the Lord Jesus? To what do all the precepts,
promises, ordinances, sacrifices under the law, and institutions
under the gospel minister but to this one end, to glorify the
Lord Jesus? Talk they of promises? Why, all
the promises of God are in Christ Jesus, yea and amen, to the glory
of God the Father by us. Talk they of the law? Christ
is the end of the law, for righteousness to everyone that believeth. Talk
they of commandments? This is the commandment, that
ye believe in the name of the only begotten Son of God, and
that believing ye might have life through his name. Good message
from old-timer Robert Hawker. It is written in Isaiah 45, 22,
where our Lord Jesus Christ commands, look unto me and be ye saved
all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none else.
And the master, Christ Jesus says in Matthew 11, come unto
me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn
of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest
unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden
is light. Friends, it is imperative that
you flee to Christ Jesus today, not tomorrow, for none of us
are promised another day on this planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ while he may be found, and seek him while he
is near, only by being in Christ, the ark of our salvation. May we be delivered from the
fierce wrath of Almighty God, which is coming soon upon the
wicked. This about wraps up this evening's
broadcast. I trust Almighty God will awaken
His sleeping elect and draw multitudes of men, women, and children around
the world to His only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our
righteousness. Yehovah Sidkenu. Bless the name. Baruch Hashem. Holy One of Israel. Hakadosh Yisrael. Hallelujah. Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty,
which was and is and is to come. Great is our Lord Jesus Christ
and greatly to be praised. Take heart, friends. Our mighty
and glorious King of glory, King of saints, King of kings, Lord
of lords, is inbound for His afflicted saints. Even so, come
quickly, Lord Jesus. Baranatha.
