The sermon titled "Storm Warning #96," delivered by various speakers, primarily addresses the doctrine of salvation through the atoning work of Jesus Christ. The central theme revolves around the concept of salvation being entirely by God's grace, emphasizing that redemption is a gift bestowed on sinners who trust in Christ. Key arguments include the necessity of recognizing one's sinfulness and the efficacy of Christ's death as a substitutionary atonement. Scripture references such as Psalm 2:10-12 and John 1:29 are employed to highlight the urgency of heeding God's warning and coming to Christ as the Lamb of God who redeems sinners. The practical significance of this message lies in its encouragement to all, particularly those who feel unworthy, underscoring that salvation is available to all who call upon the name of Jesus, a vital aspect of Reformed theology.

Warm greetings, friends, near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. His loving kindnesses, tender
mercies, and compassions are new every morning. Great is His
faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This
is Sinner Saved coming at you with the following short evangelistic
gospel message, which is sponsored by preacher Wayne Boyd and the
brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus at First Baptist Church
located in Almonte, Michigan, USA. And God willing, this broadcast
will reach you, Lima Charlie, loud and clear. It is my hope
and prayer unto God Most High, the only Holy Father, that His
only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness, be
greatly exalted, that His everlasting gospel be clearly proclaimed,
that the pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and
that His elect saints be greatly encouraged, cheered, and comforted
in these evil and perilous days. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please find enclosed encouragement
in so great salvation by the perfect and finished work of
our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy, and wretched sinners
by his sovereign free grace. That is to say, Almighty God,
in His unmerited favor, to save me and you from our sins and
from hell. Pay attention, all you civil
magistrates, governors, presidents, prime ministers, kings, queens,
princes, judges, attorney generals, et cetera, worldwide, heads up. A reading from Psalm 2, verses
10 through 12. Be wise now, therefore, O ye
kings! Be instructed, ye judges of the
earth! Serve the Lord with fear, and
rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry,
and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. It is better to trust in the
Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in
the Lord than to put confidence in princes. Psalm 118 verse 8
and 9. If we abide by the principles
taught in the Bible, our country will go on prospering. But if
we and our posterity neglect its instructions and authority,
no man can tell how sudden a catastrophe may overwhelm us and bury all
our glory in profound obscurity. That was from an early American
statesman, Daniel Webster. It is written in Psalm 917, the
wicked shall be turned to hell and all the nations that forget
God. But be of good cheer. Listen
to what is written in Jonah 2 9. Salvation is of the Lord. saved by the death of a lamb. Many years ago in Germany, a
steeplejack was doing work on the top of a church spire. In
the course of his work, he lost his footing, slipped, and fell.
He frantically tried to save himself by clutching onto one
of the ledges, but to no avail. It seemed as if he was going
to lose his life because he was plunging hastily toward the ground. But the church building at which
he was working was in a country parish, and sheep generally ran
freely in the churchyard. In the providence of God, on
the day that he fell there was a large lamb on the ground below
him. The lamb broke his fall and saved
his life. When he recovered from the shock
of the fall and was able to get back on his feet, he was amazed
to find that his injuries were minimal, but by contrast, the
lamb was dead. The story became very famous
as it was told widely throughout Germany. As the man relayed the
details of what happened, he always stated that he was saved
by the death of a lamb. What a great testimony. The theme
of the death of a lamb is one that runs right through the Bible. See Genesis 22, 8, also Exodus
12, 3. It is one of the great subjects
of scripture and is summed up in the words of John the Baptist
when he declared in John 1, 29, behold, the lamb of God, which
takes away the sin of the world. John's lamb provides a far greater
salvation than the German lamb ever did. Why? Because John was
identifying God's lamb as the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone
can take our sins away and save us from eternal doom. May we
all actively tell others of being saved by the death of God's lamb. We are sinners, but Christ is
sinless. To be saved means that we have
trusted Jesus to be our righteousness and only way to heaven. On the
last day, when believers stand before God, we will be treated
as though we had never sinned, for we shall stand before him
in the pristine, flawless righteousness of the Lamb who died for us.
What an astonishing story we have in the gospel. To save His
people, we learn that God became human, took our sin, and suffered
for us as an innocent substitute, the just for the unjust, that
He might bring us to God. See 1 Peter 1.18. Perhaps you
feel as though you will not be welcome in heaven because of
the greatness of your sin. On the contrary, no one was ever
rejected because their sins were too great. As it is written in
Romans 5 20, where sin abounded, grace shall much more abound. However, we must learn to always
take our sins to the blood to the finished Accomplished gracious
work of the perfect lamb of God What can prevent us going to
him our sins? No, it is our sins are the very
reason for going to him the excellent preacher of a previous generation
James Hervey Said it like this When I shall be summoned to the
great tribunal, what will be my plea? What my dependence?
Nothing but Christ. Christ, I would say, has been
wounded for my sins, and therefore they will not be punished in
me. Christ has fulfilled all righteousness in my stead, therefore
I trust to be justified, meaning acquitted when I am judged. I
am a poor unworthy sinner, but worthy is the lamb that was slain. Worthy is the lamb that was slain,
for whose sake I shall receive both mercy and everlasting glory. This is my only hope." Lamb of God, we fall before thee,
humbly trusting in thy cross. That alone be all our glory.
All things else are only dross. And that's the gospel truth. That was from preacher Miles
McKee. Salvation by grace. Salvation is holy of grace, not
only undeserved but undesired by us, till he is pleased to
awaken us to a sense of our need of it. And then we find everything
prepared that our wants require or our wishes conceive. Yea,
that he has done exceedingly beyond what we could either ask
or think. Salvation is holy of the Lord
and bears those signatures of infinite wisdom, power, and goodness,
which distinguish all His works from the puny imitations of men. It is every way worthy of Himself,
a great, a free, a full, a sure salvation. It is great whether
we consider the objects, miserable and hell-deserving sinners, It
is great when we consider the end, meaning the restoration
of such alienated creatures to his image in favor, to immortal
life and happiness, or the means, being the incarnation, humiliation,
sufferings, and death of his beloved son. It is free without
exception of persons or cases, without any conditions or qualifications,
but such as he himself performs in them and bestows upon them. Praise you lord jesus that was
a good message from preacher john newton Eternal faithful
loving lord we bow before thy throne Come as we gather in thy
name and make thy glories known Oh send thy spirit from above
to touch these lips of ours that we would praise and honor thee
with all our earthly powers When to our ears the gospel comes,
Lord send it deep within. Come fill each heart with love
and grace and cleanse us from our sin. May all who gather in
this house by faith to Jesus flee. No other one can save our
souls or give us peace with thee. Oh, give us grace to bless thy
name as one to raise our voice, to honor and adore our God, to
worship and rejoice. That was to the tune of the old
hymn, Amazing Grace, and the words were from preacher Jim
Bird. Sovereign grace, question mark. Sovereign grace is God's
grace, and God's grace is sovereign grace. If it is not sovereign
grace, it is not saving grace. Sovereign grace is the truth.
Sovereign grace is the message that declares the electing love
of the Father, the redeeming love of the Son, and the invincible
love of the Holy Spirit. Sovereign grace is the content
of all true evangelism. Sovereign grace is the gospel. Any message that does not declare
the sovereign grace of God in Christ Jesus is another gospel. Sovereign grace is saving grace. The God of glory is infinite. He said, thus saith the Lord,
the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts. I am the first
and I am the last, and beside me there is no God. Isaiah 44,
6. He only is infinite. He cannot be measured. He has
no boundaries. He has no limitations. He is
unsearchable and incomprehensible. He cannot be known unless he
is pleased to make himself known. He is he who hides himself from
the wise and prudent and reveals himself to babes for no other
reason than this. Even so, Father, for so it seemed
good in thy sight. Worship before him. It is written
in Isaiah 45, 22, where our Lord Jesus Christ commands, look unto
me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God and
there is none else. And the Master, Christ Jesus,
says in Matthew 11, 28-30, Come unto me all ye that labor and
are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart. And ye shall
find rest unto your souls, for my yoke is easy, and my burden
is light. Friends, it is imperative that
you flee to Christ Jesus today, not tomorrow, for none of us
are promised another day on this planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ while he may be found, and seek him while he
is near. Only by being in Christ, the
ark of our salvation, may we be delivered from the fierce
wrath of Almighty God, which is coming soon upon the wicked.
This about wraps up this broadcast. I trust Almighty God will continue
to awaken His sleeping elect and draw multitudes of men, women,
and children around the world to His only begotten Son, Christ
Jesus, the Lord our righteousness. Yehovah Sidkenu. Bless the name. Baruch Hashem. Holy One of Israel. Hakadosh Yisrael. Hallelujah. If you're a letter of the lord
