The sermon "Storm Warning #94" presents a robust theological reflection on the person and work of Jesus Christ, emphasizing His sovereign authority over creation, demons, sickness, and death. The speakers highlight that no one else in history has demonstrated such authority—seen in Christ's calming of the storm (Mark 4:39), the healing of the demon-possessed man (Mark 5), and numerous miraculous healings (John 21:25). The argument is further bolstered by the Reformed doctrine of justification, where righteousness is imputed to believers through faith in Christ alone (1 Corinthians 1:30), negating the notion that human efforts contribute to one's standing before God. The sermon underscores the necessity of recognizing Christ's role as the source of salvation and the urgency of responding to His call today, reinforcing a quintessential Reformed understanding of salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

Warm greetings, friends, near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. His loving kindness, his tender
mercies and compassions are new every morning. Great is his faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This
is Sinner Saved coming at you with the following short evangelistic
gospel message which is sponsored by preacher Wayne Boyd and the
Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus at First Baptist Church
located in Almonte, Michigan, USA. And God willing, this broadcast
will reach you, Lima Charlie, loud and clear. It is my hope
and prayer unto God Most High, the only Holy Father, that His
only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness, be
greatly exalted, that His everlasting gospel be clearly proclaimed,
that the pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and
that His elect saints be greatly encouraged, cheered, and comforted
in these evil and perilous days. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please! Finding closed encouragement
in so great salvation by the perfect and finished work of
our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy, and wretched sinners
by His sovereign free grace. That is to say, Almighty God
and His unmerited favor to save me and you from our sins and
from hell. What do you think of Christ? This is part three. What think
ye of Christ? Is the test to try both your
state and your scheme. You cannot be right in the rest
unless you think rightly of Him. That little poem was written
by preacher John Newton many hundreds of years ago. In parts
one and two, we discovered that no one was ever born like Jesus
and no one ever lived like Jesus. This time, we want to consider
that no one ever worked like Jesus. In his work, Jesus continually
demonstrated his sovereign power over all things. For example,
in Mark 4, 39, he demonstrated his power over nature. Turning
to the raging sea, he commanded, peace, be still. And the wild,
violent wind obeyed him and the waves were strangely still. After
he rebuked the storm, the word says that there was a great calm.
That's what Jesus Christ brings in place of the storm, a great
calm. Hallelujah, he is well able to
say a word and speak calm to the storms of our life. Jesus
also demonstrated his power over demons. In Mark chapter 5, a
demon-possessed maniac came rushing towards him. Many times this
man had been chained, but he simply and easily broke the restraining
shackles as though they were dry twigs. However, when the
Lord met him, Jesus commanded the demons to come out. of the
wretched man and instantly that poor soul was set free. Furthermore,
time and time again Christ demonstrated his total authority over the
demonic realm and it's no wonder that he did because he was the
incarnation of sovereign majestic authority. There never was another
person at any time in history who demonstrated the authority
of God in such a powerful and consistent manner. Never one
but Jesus. So what do you think of Christ? Jesus also demonstrated his authority
over sickness. There are no fewer than 19 specific
cases of miraculous healing performed by Jesus in the three and a half
years of his earthly ministry. See John 21 verse 25. Lepers were cleansed at his touch.
Fevers left when he spoke. The blind saw. The deaf heard. The lame got up and walked. He
demonstrated his control over nature. He demonstrated his control
over demons. He demonstrated his control over
sickness. He demonstrated his control over
death. He demonstrated that he was supreme
in every realm. No other person in history demonstrated
such authority. There never was another one like
him. He stands head and shoulders
above the rest. But what do you think of him?
What think ye of Christ is the test to try both your state and
your scheme. You cannot be right in the rest
unless you think rightly of him. And that's the gospel truth. That was from preacher Miles
McKee. Those who believe that man in
his depraved condition must make the first move to become a new
creature are as heretical as those who embrace theistic evolution. This makes a blind, deaf, and
helpless sinner arise to the place of letting the omnipotent,
omniscient, omnipresent, and sovereign God make him a new
creature. Reading from Psalm 64 10, the
righteous shall be glad in the Lord and shall trust in him and
all the upright in heart shall glory. In what way is a man made
righteous before God? I answer, he is not made so by
any good works proceeding from himself, nor by his prayers,
duties, nor obedience, nor by his faith, nor love to the Lord.
God has made him righteous in his own way, and he has revealed
it in the word of his grace. There we find that He has, in
sovereign mercy and discriminating grace, imputed to and laid upon
the beloved surety all the sin and transgression of His chosen
inheritance. He transferred to them all the
obedience, righteousness, and holiness of His beloved Son,
placing it to their account as their justification, and here
it is, that they are exclusively righteous before God, as it is
written in 1 Corinthians 1, verse 30, of Him are ye in Christ Jesus,
who of God is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, and sanctification,
and redemption. So nothing belonging to the poor
soul can be his righteousness before God. It is not his humility
and prayers, nor his love and faith, nor his communion with
God that makes him so. Neither can his fretfulness,
peevishness, unbelief, nor all the devilish workings of his
heart ever shake or alter it. What a blessing is this! If you
and I are among the righteous, it is because we are made so
in Christ. Outstanding. Old timer preacher, John Warburton. According to proponents of man's
so-called free will in salvation, God cannot save sinners in the
present day unless they let him do so. What folly. According
to their logic, neither will God condemn sinners at the final
day unless they let him do so. Madness. According to their false
doctrine sinners are sovereign and God is what they let him
to be utter foolishness Good points brought up by preacher
Daniel Parks It is written in Isaiah 53 5 with his stripes. We are healed and A professor
once said to me, I can never conceive how one man can be made
righteous by the righteousness of another. Thus his carnal reasoning
led him to object against Christ's righteousness being imputed to
us. I replied, why then do you profess to believe that your
sins can be washed away by the blood of another? He was silent.
Without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness. Too
great a mystery for human reason to comprehend, but not too great
for divine faith to receive. To the joy of godliness, sin
is a malignant and mortal disease. The soul must die eternally of
it unless healed. This healing, the soul, is the
pardoning of sin. This is obtained by the stripes,
that is, by Christ's wounds. You feel the evil of sin. You
mourn over the guilt of sin. You groan under the burden of
indwelling sin from day to day. The spirit of the truth The Comforter
here holds forth a blessed remedy for you to look to for pardon
of sin, peace of conscience, and healing of soul, the stripes
of Jesus. Just as though the Lord proclaimed
to a world of diseased sinners, this is your only remedy. So
sure as you are sinners and feel sin in your nature, so truly
did the Son of God take upon him the same nature, had all
your sins laid upon him, and imputed to him, and in that nature
was cursed by the law as a malfactor, wounded, bruised, and put to
death by divine justice, as the greatest sinner by imputation
that ever lived, that hereby your sins, all your sins, might
be fully pardoned, and your souls as perfectly healed of the disease
of sin, as though it had never infected you. Look to anything
but the stripes of Christ, and you will be miserable. Look to
these only and alone, and you shall find health, joy, and salvation. Sin-sick soul, what sayest thou
to this? Lord, increase my faith. This
is a precious prayer, that dear Lord who suffered stripes for
thy sin, that thou mightest be healed. That dear spirit who
convinced thee of sin and made thee sick of sin will surely
answer the prayer of faith and give thee the joy of faith. And
thou shalt say, as it is written in Psalm 103 verses 2 and 3,
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits,
who forgiveth all thine iniquities, and healeth all thy diseases. Oh, what a marvelous way is this
of healing our souls. It is God's way. Unconvinced
sinners care not about it. Proud, self-righteous souls reject
it. Licentious spirits abuse it. Believing, humble hearts rejoice
in it. Give Christ the glory of it and
walk worthy of the Lord to all pleasing. See Colossians 1.10. Strict justice christ hath satisfied
by pains and stripes and death By these our souls are justified
and comforted in faith. This is the faith Which works
by love of our dear suffering lord. It lifts our souls to joys
above while it believes his word that was from uh preacher william
mason It is written in Isaiah 45, 22, where our Lord Jesus
Christ commands, look unto me and be ye saved all the ends
of the earth, for I am God and there is none else worthy. The
master says, our Lord Jesus says in Matthew 11, verses 28 through
30, come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and
I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn
of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find
rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden
is light. Friends, it is imperative that
you flee to Christ Jesus today, not tomorrow, for none of us
are promised another day on this planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ while he may be found, and seek him while he
is near. Only by being in Christ, the
ark of our salvation, may we be delivered from the fierce
wrath of Almighty God. which is coming soon upon the
wicked. This about wraps up this evening's
broadcast. I trust almighty God will awaken
his sleeping elect and draw multitudes of men, women, and children around
the world to his only begotten son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our
righteousness, Yehovah Tzidkenu. Bless the name, Baruch Hashem,
