Storm Warning Broadcast

The sermon titled "Storm Warning #88" addresses the doctrine of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, particularly emphasizing the nature of grace in contrast to human feelings of repentance. The speakers argue that feelings of remorse or emotional experiences are not prerequisites for receiving God’s grace or being saved; instead, faith in Christ's finished work is what qualifies individuals for salvation. Key scripture references such as Romans 4-5, 2 Corinthians 7:9, and Hebrews 11:6 underscore the sufficiency of Christ’s sacrificial work and the importance of faith over feelings. Practically, the sermon encourages believers to rest in the assurance of salvation based on God’s promises rather than their fluctuating emotional states, leading to a more stable and confident faith.

Key Quotes

Warm greetings, friends, near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. His loving kindnesses, tender
mercies, and compassions are new every morning. Great is his
faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This
is Sinner Saved coming at you with the following short evangelistic
gospel message which is sponsored by preacher Wayne Boyd and the
brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus at First Baptist Church
located in Almonte, Michigan, USA. And God willing, this broadcast
will reach you, Lima Charlie, loud and clear. is my hope and
prayer unto God Most High, the only Holy Father, that His only
begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness, be greatly
exalted, that His everlasting gospel be clearly proclaimed,
that the pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and
that His elect saints be greatly encouraged, cheered, and comforted
in these evil and perilous days. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please! Finding closed encouragement
in so great salvation by the perfect and finished work of
our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy, and wretched sinners
by His sovereign free grace. That is to say, Almighty God
in His unmerited favor to save me and you from our sins and
from hell. The danger of resting on feelings. Because repentance and faith
go hand in hand, there are those who think themselves unqualified
to ask for mercy. They are concerned that they
do not feel repentant enough to ask for salvation. They know
that they need the Savior, but think they lack sufficient repentant
feelings to qualify for grace. If this is true of you, let's
do a quick question and answer here. Question, does your lack
of being miserable about your sin alter the gospel? The answer
is no. Does your lack of feelings in
any way change the good news? No. Does your lack of feelings
mean that the gospel is no longer for the undeserving and unlovable?
No. Does your lack of feelings change
the graciousness of the Lord Jesus? No. If you're concerned
that you do not feel repentant enough to ask for salvation,
you are trying to receive grace by works. which can never happen. You think you will deserve grace
if you show God how bad you feel about your sin. However, this
course of action is impossible because grace is reserved exclusively
for the undeserving who do not work for it. Friends, see Romans
4, 5. Here's some good news. The gospel
suits us. It fits us like a glove. It meets
us and announces the Christ who saves undeserving sinners. But,
you may say, I don't think I am sufficiently sorry enough to
qualify for the gospel. Listen to me. Although God gives
a godly sorrow that leads to repentance, see 2 Corinthians
7, 9, and also Romans 2, 4, being tearfully miserable about your
sins will not persuade God to be more kindly disposed to you
than he is in Christ. Yet despite this, Some people
insist that true repentance comes only with tears. If this is so,
we must ask, what's the going rate for tears nowadays? Just
how many tears does God require? Does he want a bucket full? A
half a bucket full? And while we're at it, what size
is the bucket anyway? Listen to me. You are not disqualified
from the gospel because of lack of feelings. Faith does not spring
out of feelings. Feelings grow out of faith. The
less we feel, the more we have an opportunity to trust. Nevertheless,
here's the thing. We cannot feel properly until
we have believed. This is also so with repentance.
All true repentance has its root in faith. Although no one is
saved without repentance, repentance is not a condition or cause of
grace. It is always the result of grace. Repentance can never earn God's
grace and forgiveness. All grace and forgiveness have
already been earned for us by the Lord Jesus. The legalist,
however, wants us to get all emotional and weep over our sins,
but this is not required to move God toward us. God has already
moved toward us in the person of Christ Jesus. Often as believers,
we want to feel saved rather than to simply rest on Christ
alone. Again, here's some good news. We don't have to feel the
fact that Christ is made unto us righteousness. See 1 Corinthians
1.30. Likewise, we don't have to feel
the fact that he that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life. John 3.36. Nor do we have to feel the fact
that he that hears my word and believes on him that sent me
has everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation, but
is passed from death unto life. John 5, 24. or even feel the fact that he
that believes on me, meaning Jesus, has everlasting life,
John 6, 47. These facts stand firm whether
we feel them or not. We are saved apart from feelings
for it is written, he that comes to God must believe, not feel. that he is, and that he is a
rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11, 6. Faith,
not feelings, takes a hold of the finished work of our Lord
Jesus Christ. Without faith, no one can even
call on the Lord, for we cannot call on him. for we cannot call
on him in whom we have not believed. See Romans 10, 14. If we insist
that we must feel something before believing, then we have promoted
feelings to an essential part of salvation. This is a grave
error, for if we try to work up feelings in order to be accepted
by God, then we are seeking grace based on works. Do feelings have
to drop miraculously into our heart to enable us to be saved?
No. Does the Lord anywhere command
that our level of feelings must be correct before he will save
us? No, we are saved by grace alone. And that's the gospel
truth. And that was from preacher Miles
McKee. It is written in 2 Corinthians
7, 7. Cleanse ourselves? What? Was Holy Paul the subject
of filthiness? Yes. He, as well as the holy saints of Corinth, constantly
wanted cleansing by the blood of Christ. Paul again and again declares
against the proud notion of sinless perfection. He well knew that
regenerating grace and adopting love do not entirely destroy
the infection of our fallen nature. But hereby being brought into
a holy state, we are set above the power of sin. We hate the
defilement of it. And we ever have the precious
blood of the lamb to have recourse to for cleansing from it. The
son of God has made us free indeed. See John 8 36. free from the
slavery of sin and the bondage of the law, free to come to Him
that we may wash our garments and make them white in the blood
of the Lamb. Do you see and lament that you are the subject of internal
as well as external filthiness? Should you not be ashamed that
your fellow Christians should know what filthy and abominable
thoughts pass through your mind? Are they not the grief of your
very soul? The Lord knows them all he has provided he and set
open a precious fountain for sin and uncleanness Friends see
zechariah 13 1 Believe his love take the benefit of his son's
blood come freely come daily come constantly to it by faith
Wash and be clean see the promise or the reason of this having
these promises Oh consider how great and precious these promises
are First, of being temples of the living God. Second, of His
indwelling presence. Third, of His being our God and
we His sons and daughters. Fourth, of God receiving us and
owning us as such whenever we come to Him. Most powerful motives
for cleansing. See, believers, your precious
privileges. We are not called upon and urged
to cleanse ourselves, by the terrors of the law or pain of
damnation. No, but as loving children in
a state of salvation, under a covenant of love and grace, nothing but
great and precious promises await us from the love of God our Father,
from the grace of God our Redeemer, and from the witness of God our
Sanctifier, It is by these we are animated and excited to cleansing
and purification. Would it not be a scandal and
a shame to an earthly monarch for his children to appear in
filthy garments, associate with the low and vulgar of his subjects
and given to their practices? Oh ye sons and daughters of the
King of Kings, consider your dignity, act up to your high
station, adorn your profession, walk worthy of your God. Lord,
I've daily need of cleansing by thy most precious blood, filthiness
of flesh and spirit cleaved to my every good. Now I'm in thy
new creation. Oh, cleanse and keep me clean.
Jesus, thou art my salvation. Purge me from every stain. That was old timer preacher,
William Mason. It was written in the book of
Esther 4.16. So will I go in unto the king,
which is not according to the law, and if I perish, I perish. The Lord has graciously revealed
to his people that the entire book of Esther is based entirely
upon one act, the king raising the scepter unto Esther in mercy.
If he had not, then there would be no book of Esther, no hope
for her people, for there was no possibility of another saving
or interceding for them. This is the same, but infinitely
more accurate in describing the salvation of the souls of God's
elect. For in the volume of the book
of life, the entirety of salvation is completely and entirely dependent
upon one act, the king raising the scepter to his son. If the
king had not, then there would be no book of life, no hope for
God's people, for it is not possible for another to save us or intercede
for us. If the Lord has made you to truly
know this truth, by grace through faith bestowed, then hear the
glorious news of the gospel from Numbers 24, 17. There shall come
a star out of Jacob and a scepter shall rise out of Israel. Hallelujah. The Lord Jesus Christ is the
only reason the scepter of God is raised to whom the Lord loves.
That was from preacher Caleb Hickman. In the following is
Abraham's cry unto God Most High, and it's recorded in Genesis
18, 25. That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay
the righteous with the wicked, that the righteous should be
as the wicked. That be far from thee. Shall
not the judge of all the earth do right? It's not our confidence
and comfort that the judge of all the earth will do right.
He can do no wrong. Even though I may not understand
what the judge is doing, I am confident it is right. Therefore,
we know with absolute confidence that he will not slay the righteous
with the wicked. Believers do not have to fear his judgments.
Let us never be guilty of judging the judge, but let us be still
and know that he is God. See Psalm 46, 10. Excellent message
from preacher John Chapman. It is written in Isaiah 45, 22,
where our Lord Jesus Christ commands, look unto me and be ye saved
all the ends of the earth for I am God and there is none else.
The master also says in Matthew 11, come unto me all you that
labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my
yoke upon you and learn of me for I am meek and lowly in heart
and you shall find rest unto your souls for my yoke is easy
and my burden is light. Friends, it is imperative that
you flee to Christ Jesus today, not tomorrow, for none of us
are promised another day on this planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ while He may be found, and seek Him while He
is near. Only by being in Christ, the
ark of our salvation, may we be delivered from the fierce
wrath of Almighty God, which is coming soon upon the wicked. This about wraps up this evening's
broadcast. I trust almighty God will awaken
his sleeping elect and draw multitudes of men, women, and children around
the world to his only begotten son, Christ Jesus, the Lord,
our righteousness. Yehovah tzidkenu. Bless the name. Baruch Hashem. Holy water of
Israel. Hakadosh Yisrael. Hallelujah. If you folks are interested to

praised. Take heart friends, our mighty
and glorious king of glory is inbound for his afflicted saints. Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus. Maranatha.
