The sermon titled "Storm Warning #87," delivered by various speakers, centers on the Reformed doctrine of salvation through Christ and the believer's response to sin and gospel truth. Key arguments include the expression of God’s grace in saving sinners, the call to live for Christ instead of oneself, and the importance of having a righteous anger against sin, especially concerning attacks on the integrity of the gospel. Scripture references discussed include 2 Corinthians 5:15, which underscores the transformative purpose of Christ’s death, and Ephesians 4:26 that allows for righteous anger. The practical significance lies in encouraging believers to embrace their identity in Christ, advocate for the gospel, and live righteously in a world marred by sin, reflecting Christ’s attitudes toward injustice.

Warm greetings, friends, near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. His loving kindness, his tender
mercies and compassions are new every morning. Great is his faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This
is Center Save coming at you with the following short evangelistic
gospel message, which is sponsored by preacher Wayne Boyd and the
Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus at First Baptist Church,
located in Elmont, Michigan, USA. And God willing, this broadcast
will reach you, Lima Charlie, loud and clear. It is my hope
and prayer unto God Most High, the only Holy Father, that His
only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness, be
greatly exalted, that His everlasting gospel be clearly proclaimed,
that the pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and
that His elect saints be greatly encouraged, cheered, and comforted
in these evil and perilous days. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please find enclosed encouragement
in so great salvation by the perfect and finished work of
our Lord Jesus Christ, in saving poor, needy, and wretched sinners
by His sovereign free grace. That is to say, Almighty God
and His unmerited favor to save me and you from our sins and
from hell. A reading from 2 Corinthians
5, 15. And that he died for all that
they who live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto
him who died for them and rose again. Christ died for all whom
the father gave to him. See his words in John 17, nine. Sooner or later, all these willingly
and cheerfully come unto or believe on Christ. Joyful to remember
we are drawn to Christ by the love of the Father, or else we
should have come to Him. John 6, 44. Now we have done
with working for life and asking what must we do to be saved.
For now we actually are saved and really do live. First, we
are saved from the love of sin, from our natural hatred to the
doctrines of grace, and from our aversion to full justification
and final salvation by the word of Christ only. Legal self-righteous
professors claim, do not tell us of doctrines of grace, but
what we must do to be saved. Truly, the way is plain. There
is work enough for them to do. They will enter into life by
keeping the commandments. Let them If they will enter into
life by keeping the commandments, let them perfectly fulfill the
law and salvation is sure. So say they, no matter how you
live, live as you like. Your salvation is sure. This
is very true. Salvation is not only possible,
but sure and certain to every believer in Christ and all such
strive to live as they like. Secondly, we live a life of faith
on the Son of God, not under the legal threats and terrors
of the law in our consciences, striving to pacify its wrath
by fulfilling its commands, but perfectly justified from all
its condemnation. We do not like to live and walk
in our sinful lusts, to obey our depraved wills, to gratify
our sensual affections, to live to sinful self at all, nor to
righteous self neither. Our souls are equally adverse
to sinful lusts as to self-righteous pride. Both are opposite to the
love and glory of our dear once dead but now risen Savior. As
by him we live, so to him we live. This is what we like and
prefer above all things. Say, O my soul, is not this thy
chief, thy one desire? We have no greater pleasure on
earth than to walk in the truth. O thou life of our souls, thou
Jesus and our all. Without thee we can do nothing.
Help us to consider what little time we have to live unto thee
and to glorify thee before we shall live and reign with thee
Lord, in the belief of this, fire our hearts with a holy zeal
for thy glory, unremitting diligence in thy service and unwearied
constancy in obeying thy will, being ready to every good work,
Titus 3.1. Christ died for us that we should
live no more to self and sin. This truth is precious to believe
and make us pure within. Oh, may the love, the dying love
of Christ possess my soul by living faith to soar above and
all my powers control. That was from old timer preacher,
William Mason. And this next article is entitled,
Holy Anger. We live in a day and age when
many people tell us that Christians should never get angry. However,
did you know that the Bible doesn't say that? It says, be ye angry
and sin not, Ephesians 4.26. And did you know that gentle
Jesus, meek and mild, got angry? For example, he got angry at
the merchandisers in the temple Friends see mark 11 15 through
19 and matthew 21 verses 11 through 13 Do you think he went up to
those? Uh money changers scoundrels
and said excuse me, but if it's not too inconvenient i'd like
to throw your tables on the ground That is if you don't mind No! Jesus got angry. He made a whip
and threw those rascals out of God's house. He wasn't bluffing.
He was big enough, strong enough, and angry enough to clear the
temple. They saw Jesus, a man inflamed
and enraged, angry against sin, and passionate for the glory
of God, and they ran from Him. He also got angry at the sin
of the religious leaders of the day, those long bearded gentlemen
who enslaved the people with their rules and regulations.
Time and time again, he called them on their error and hypocrisy
by delivering to them such verbal bouquets as, you are a brood
of vipers. You are whitewashed tombs full
of dead men's bones. See Matthew 12, 34, and also
Matthew 23, 33. Jesus got angry. Take a look
at Nahum chapter one, the first eight verses. You'll see exactly
what I'm trying to point out here. Jesus got angry. Listen to me carefully. That
which makes you angry measures your character. How can Christians
not get angry about the slaughter of millions of babies who have
been murdered at abortion clinics? How can Christians not get angry
about injustice? How can Christians not get angry
at evil? Similarly, just as that which
makes you angry is a measure of your character, So in relation
to the finished work of Christ that which makes us angry measures
our love for the gospel Excuse me friends. How can for example
We sit back and not get angry when we see people who in the
name of Jesus pervert the gospel and who by their so-called sacraments
attempt to demolish the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ
and How can we not get angry when we see a certain ecclesiastical
dignitary with millions of followers claiming to be the substitute
for our Savior here on earth? How can we not get angry when
we see him exalt himself to the position of Great High Priest,
a position reserved for Christ alone? I must confess that the
ruined mass also makes me angry. The thought of some men claiming
to be the necessary sacrificing priests gets me stirred. These men claim to have the power
and authority to command King Jesus off his throne and remake
him in the shape of a wafer. That makes me angry. The question
is not, why am I so stirred up about these matters, but rather
the question should be, why do so few of those who love the
Lord not get angry at the attack the Roman Catholic Mass makes
on the gospel of the finished and completed work of Christ?
Alas, some preachers today have taken a kind of spiritual tranquilizer
and have urged folks like me to be more broad-minded. Oh my,
oh my. Broad-minded? We are urged to
accept everything. They tell us that Rome believes
and preaches the gospel and we should not say things that criticize
her. This makes me angry. However, May we as his followers
be like Jesus, who, when he saw unrighteousness and legalism,
got angry and yet remained full of love for those he came to
save. That's a difficult one, but necessary. And that's the gospel truth from
preacher Myles McKee. Now gracious God, thine arm reveal
and make thy glory known. Now let us all thy presence feel
and soften hearts of stone. Help us to venture near thy throne
and plead our savior's name for all that we can call our own
is vanity and shame. From all the guilt of wretched
sin may mercy set us free and let the week we now begin begin
and end with thee Send down thy spirit From above that we may
love thee more and others now may learn to love who never loved
before Those are the lyrics from an old gospel hymn according
to thy gracious word I am poor and needy This is Warrior King
David's confession of his state before God on multiple occasions.
This is the poor in spirit spoken of in the first beatitude by
our Lord Jesus Christ. When you are poor, you are necessarily
needy. But when there is poverty of
spirit, those needs are always met. Theirs is the kingdom of
heaven, said the Lord Jesus. All needs are met. But when someone
is not poor, he has no needs. Where there are no needs, there
are no needs being met. This is true all the time. It is written in Luke 9 11, he
healed those who had need of healing. It is a good thing to
be poor and needy. This is who he saves. It was
said of the church of Laodicea, we are rich and increased with
goods and have need of nothing. To this church, the Lord said
in Revelation 3.16, I will spew thee out of my mouth only when
I am poor and needy and my rich and all my spiritual needs are
met in Christ, who is all. Redeeming the time. Walk in wisdom
toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Paul is speaking
of our conduct before unbelievers. We are to walk in wisdom before
them, redeeming the time. Most other translations say,
making the most of every opportunity. Every time we are before unbelievers,
it is an opportunity to do them good by example, or more importantly,
by word. We should look at every time
we are with them as a time to seek their salvation and preach
the gospel to them. This is a reminder to us that
at all times we are to seek to be fishers of men and to conduct
ourselves before them in a way that adorns the doctrine we believe. Excellent message. Now here's
a profound single sentence statement. Listen carefully, friends. We
have no power from God unless we live in the persuasion that
we have none of our own. Outstanding from preacher John
Owen. Christ saves sinners. I really, really hate my sin,
but at the same time, I am so glad that the Lord has taught
me that I am the sinner. For now, I can rejoice and take
comfort in this blessed gospel truth from 1 Timothy 1.15, that
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am
chief. Therefore, the sinner writing
this article has been saved by the Lord Jesus Christ along with
every other sinner that has been taught of God that they are the
sinner. Lord, please give me this new
heart and spirit that convinces me of sin and of righteousness
and of judgment, John 16, 8. And once convinced of sin, turn
my eyes to the one and only remedy for this sin. the righteousness
and shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Great message from preacher
Brian Dufour. In respect to God, the death
of Christ was justice and mercy. In respect to this world, the
death of Christ was murder and cruelty. In respect to himself,
the death of Christ was obedience and humility. In respect to his
elect, the death of Christ was wisdom, righteousness, sanctification,
and redemption. was from preacher John Flavel.
God's providences are but the manifestations of his decrees.
What God does in time is only what he purposed in eternity.
To say that God is sovereign is to declare that he is the
Almighty, the possessor of all power in heaven and earth, so
that none can defeat his counsels, thwart his purpose, or resist
His will. Whatever takes place in time
is but the outworking of that which He has decreed in eternity. The sovereignty of the God of
Scripture is absolute, irresistible, and infinite. We insist that
God does as He pleases, only as He pleases, always as He pleases. Friends, it is imperative that
you flee to Christ Jesus today, not tomorrow, for none of us
are promised another day on this planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ while he may be found, and seek him while is
near. Only by being in Christ, the
ark of our salvation, may we be delivered from the fierce
wrath of Almighty God, which is coming soon upon the wicked.
Excuse me, friends. Great is our Lord Jesus Christ
and greatly to be praised. Take heart, friends. Our mighty
and glorious King of glory is inbound for his afflicted saints. Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus
Christ. Maranatha.
