Warm greetings, friends, near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. His loving kindnesses, tender
mercies, and compassions are new every morning. Great is His
faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This is Sinner Saved coming at
you with the following short evangelistic gospel message,
which is sponsored by preacher Wayne Boyd and the Brethren in
Christ at First Baptist Church located in Almont, Michigan,
USA. And Lord willing, this broadcast
will reach you, Lima Charlie, loud and clear. It is my hope
and prayer unto God most high, the only Holy Father, that his
only begotten son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness, be
greatly exalted, that his everlasting gospel be clearly proclaimed,
that the pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and
that his elect saints be greatly encouraged, cheered, and comforted
in these evil and perilous days. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so, we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please find enclosed encouragement
in so great salvation by the perfect and finished work of
our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy, and wretched sinners
by His sovereign free grace, that is to say, Almighty God,
in His unmerited favor to save me and you from our sins and
from hell. The Lord Jesus Christ says in
Matthew 7, 14, straight is the gate and narrow is the way which
leadeth unto life and few there be that find it. So Jesus taught. But teachers in every age have
taught a broad way and wide gate. The greatest part of professors
have readily received their doctrine. This is a melancholy truth. Therefore,
Jesus adds, beware of false prophets. It is the sole prerogative of
the king of saints to open a gate and to make a way to his own
kingdom. Glory to our God who in sovereign grace and everlasting
love hath done this. The gospel proclaims free welcome. Come who will. Enter freely without
money and without price. Jesus is the straight gate of
God's love, the only gate of righteousness. By Him we enter
with access to God, stand perfectly justified and graciously accepted
before Him. Jesus is the narrow way. By the
blood of his cross he hath made peace, atoned for the sins of
transgressors by one offering, hence called straight and narrow. Because the only way to life
is by one man, one righteousness, one atonement. Thus, it is a gate of love, a
way of grace, too straight a gate for blind men to see, too narrow
a way for proud, natural men to submit, to walk in. Hence,
few there be that find it, says the Lord Jesus. But it is very
awful to think of. Whoever takes any other way or
aims to enter by any other gate, goeth in the broad road to everlasting
destruction. His boldness and confidence is
no proof that he is right, but a melancholy sign that he is
blind and deceived. For the way of a fool is right
in his own eyes, as it is written in Proverbs 12, 15, and also
in Proverbs 14, 12, there is a way which seemeth right unto
a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. But whoever
enters the kingdom by Jesus feeds in the pastures of grace, truth
and love. He drinks of the river of consolation
and shall be nourished up to eternal life. Like a person who
takes up his residence for life in a more delightful kingdom
than he was born in. So the believer is conformed
to the laws, speaks the language of the new Jerusalem and hates
the garment spotted with the flesh. Thus the Holy Spirit leads
the blind by the way they knew not, even the right way to peace,
love, holiness, happiness, eternal life and salvation. Thus to a
little flock, it is the Father's good pleasure to give the kingdom.
By his word, he directs them. By his spirit, he guides them.
By his love, he comforts them. By afflictions, he profits them. By conviction of sin, he humbles
them. By the prospects of hope, he
animates them. All this is to make them walk
steadily in Christ who is the way Christ is the sure foundation
stone which God in Zion lays to build our heavenly hopes upon
and his eternal praise Chosen of God do sinners dear and saints
adore the name they trust their whole salvation here Nor shall
they suffer shame Old-timer preacher William Mason. Mm-hmm He is the
sovereign king. You say, well, I don't agree
with that election stuff. Too late. He's chosen his people
in Christ before the foundation of the world. I don't like this
predestination. Too late. In love, he predestinated
us unto the adoption of children in Jesus Christ according to
his will. Do you see that? It's just too late. No, I'm just
showing you what God says of himself and he is the sovereign
king. He's running this show and he
does and has done according to his will and the armies of heaven
and among the inhabitants of the earth and none can stay his
hand or say unto him, what doest thou? You can't stop him. You can't question him. He brings
us to be confronted with this, and that is God's right to be
God. And men and women have heard
preachers apologize about God and try to make him more palatable
and say he'd never do this. People, he's done what he says
he's done, and he'll do what he says he'll do. Even this,
he says, the Lord hath made all things for himself, yea, even
the wicked for the day of evil. How does that fit your theology?
Even the wicked for the day of evil, for himself, for himself. Outstanding from preacher Gary
Shepherd. It is in Christ, my friends,
Isaiah 45, 24. Surely shall one say, in the
Lord have I righteousness and strength. And again, Isaiah 45,
25. In the Lord shall all the seed
of Israel be justified and shall glory. Our justification, our
acceptance, and our glory before a holy God is in the Lord Jesus
Christ. Boasting is excluded on every
side. Hence, the apostle says in Romans
3, verses 26 through 27, to declare at this time his righteousness,
that he might be just and the justifier of him who believeth
in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is
excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but
by the law of faith. This is the way, my friends,
whereby we are considered just and accepted in Jesus Christ.
Be it known unto you, therefore, men and brethren, that through
this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins, and
by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which you
could not be justified by the law of Moses. Acts 13, verses
38 and 39. The righteousness of Christ is
imputed to the poor sinner. Blessed is the man unto whom
the Lord imputes not iniquity. Hallelujah. Psalm 32 verse 2. The poor sinner's unrighteousness
is washed away in the atoning blood of the Lamb. He is constituted
righteous in the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my friends, as we
stand on the rock of ages, sin is done away. We are clad in
the Redeemer's righteousness and stand complete and accepted
in the sight of Jehovah. But it is in Christ, my friends,
and blessed be God that it is there. That was from old timer
preacher, John Kershaw. How is a man made righteous in
God? Psalm 6410, the righteous shall
be glad in the Lord and shall trust in him and all the upright
in heart shall glory. In what way is a man made righteous
before God? I answer, he is not made so by
any good works proceeding from himself, nor by his prayers,
duties, nor obedience, nor by his love or faith to the Lord. God has made him righteous in
his own way. and he has revealed it in the
word of his grace. There we find that he has in
sovereign mercy and discriminating grace imputed to and laid upon
the beloved surety, all the sin and transgression of his chosen
inheritance. He transferred to them all the
obedience, righteousness, and holiness of His beloved Son,
placing it to their account as their justification. And here
it is that they are exclusively righteous before God. Of Him
are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, righteousness,
and sanctification, and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1.30. So nothing
belonging to the poor soul can be his righteousness before God.
It is not his humility in prayers, nor his love and faith, nor his
communion with God that makes him so. Neither can his fretfulness,
peevishness, unbelief, nor all the devilish workings of his
heart ever shake or alter it. What a blessing is this. If you
and I are among the righteous, it is because we are made so
in Christ. That was from preacher John Warburton. It is written in Isaiah 45, 22,
where our Lord Jesus Christ commands, look unto me and be ye saved,
all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none else. The master also says in Matthew
11, verses 28 through 30, come unto me, all you that labor and
are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you
and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall
find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden
is light." Friends, it is imperative that you flee to Christ Jesus
today, not tomorrow, for none of us are promised another day
on this earth. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ while he may be found. and seek him while he
is near, only by being in Christ, the ark of our salvation. May we be delivered from the
fierce wrath of almighty God, which is coming soon upon the
wicked. This about wraps up this evening's
broadcast. I trust Almighty God will awaken
His sleeping elect and draw multitudes of men, women, and children around
the world to His only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our
righteousness, Yehovah Sidkenu. Bless the name, Baruch Hashem,
Holy One of Israel, HaKadosh Yisrael, hallelujah. If you are
