The sermon titled "Storm Warning #40" presents the sufficiency of Christ in the life of believers, emphasizing key Reformed doctrines such as total depravity, sovereign grace, and the necessity of faith in Jesus for salvation. Various speakers, including Wayne Boyd and Gary Shepherd, articulate that Jesus, through His divine nature and redemptive work, is the source of life, mercy, and eternal security for sinners. They reference pivotal Scriptures such as John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 9:15, and Ephesians 2:1 to demonstrate both the need of humanity for salvation and Christ’s role as the unspeakable gift who brings healing and restoration. The practical significance of this sermon encourages believers to rely solely on Christ and to await His second coming with hopeful anticipation while sharing the gospel message proactively, as all sinners need the grace of God to come to repentance.

Warm greetings, friends, near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. His loving kindnesses, tender
mercies, and compassions are new every morning. Great is His
faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This is Sinner Saved coming at
you with the following short evangelistic gospel message,
which is sponsored by preacher Wayne Boyd and the Brethren in
Christ at First Baptist Church located in Almonte, Michigan,
USA. And God willing, this broadcast
will reach you, Lima Charlie, loud and clear. It is my hope
and prayer unto God most high, the only holy father, that his
only begotten son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness, be
greatly exalted. that his everlasting gospel be
clearly proclaimed, that the pride of mere flesh and blood
men be humbled, and that his elect saints be greatly encouraged
and comforted in these evil and perilous times. Please consider
having paper and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references
for your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please find
enclosed encouragement in so great salvation by the perfect
and finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor,
needy, and wretched sinners by His sovereign free grace, that
is to say, Almighty God, and His unmerited favor to save me
and you from our sins and from hell. Jesus leaves us speechless. A reading from 2 Corinthians
12, verses three through four. And I knew such a man, whether
in the body or out of the body, I cannot tell. God knows how
that he was caught up into paradise and heard unspeakable words,
which is not lawful for a man to utter. And from 2 Corinthians
9, 15, thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. I am going
to attempt to do the impossible. I will, in these next few lines,
endeavor to speak about the unspeakable one, the Lord Jesus Christ. The
Apostle Paul had been transported to paradise where he heard unspeakable
words. He must have been overwhelmed
with the reality of the invisible God made visible in the Lord
Jesus. He was left speechless. There
are many who think that the pinnacle of spirituality is to speak in
so-called tongues, But when Paul was confronted with the exalted
Christ in his majesty, he couldn't speak at all. May we yet become
speechless as we take time to meditate on the glory of Almighty
God in the person of Christ. May we yet rejoice with joy unspeakable
and full of glory. See 1 Peter 1.8. Consider this
the Lord Jesus Christ came that we who were dead in trespasses
and sins might have life Ephesians 2 1 he is the beginning of life. He is the source of life He is
the giver of life see John 1 3 through 4. He is the bread of life John
6 35 he is the water of life John 4 13 through 14. He is the
light of life John 8 12 and He is the resurrection and the
life, John 11, 25. He is the way, the truth, and
the life, John 14, six through seven. He that rests on him shall
not perish, but have everlasting life, John 3, 16. This leaves
me speechless. What about you? Jesus is the
promised seed who bruised the serpent's head, Genesis 3.15.
He is Abraham's seed in whom all the nations are blessed,
Galatians 3.8. He is David's seed, the righteous
branch who reigns in wisdom, Jeremiah 23.5. He is the elect
of God, Luke 23, 25. He is the mediator of the new
covenant, Hebrews 9, 15 and John 14, 6. He is the rock of our
salvation, Psalm 18, 2, 1 Corinthians 10, 4. This leaves me speechless. What about you? He is the second
man, the Lord from heaven, 1 Corinthians 15, 47. He is the eternal word
made flesh, John 1, 14. He is the last Adam, 1 Corinthians
15, 45. He is the faithful and true witness,
Revelation 3, 14. The almighty, who was and is
and is to come, Revelation 1, 8, and also Revelation 4, 8.
This leaves me speechless. What about you? He gives healing
to the sick, sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, and life
to the dead. Luke 7, 21 through 22. He is
the deliverer of those in bondage, the healer of the broken heart,
and the one who gives rest to the weary. Matthew 11, 22. This leaves me speechless. What
about you? He is the champion who never
lost a battle, Hebrews 2, 14 through 16. The lawyer who never
lost a case, Hebrews 5, verses 4 through 10. And the shepherd
who never lost a sheep, John 18, 9. This leaves me speechless. What about you? He is the true
temple, see John 1.14 and chapter 2.22. The true altar, Hebrews
13.10. The offerer and the offering, Hebrews 9.14. He is the slain
lamb, Revelation 5.10. He is the lamb without blemish
and without spot, 1 Peter 1.18-19. He is the one who, by himself,
purged our sins, Hebrews 1.3, destroyed the devil, 1 John 3.8,
conquered death, rose from the grave and ascended into glory,
Acts 1.9. This leaves me speechless. What
about you? He is our surety, Hebrews 7.22,
our ransom, 1 Timothy 2.6, our apostle and high priest. Hebrews
3.1, He is the God-man, the exegesis of the Father, John 1.18, the
brightness of the Father's glory, Hebrews 1.3, and the one whom
angels worship, Hebrews 1.6. He is the King of kings, the
Lord of lords, 1 Timothy 6.15, God manifest in the flesh, 1
Timothy 3.16, and the fullness of the Godhead bodily, Colossians
1.19. This leaves me speechless. What
about you? It is no surprise that the hymn
writer wrote, I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus the
Nazarene, and wonder how he could love me, a sinner condemned unclean. May we yet become more and more
astonished and amazed at the Lord Jesus Christ. May we yet
become speechless in his presence. And that is the gospel truth. That was from preacher Miles
McKee. Psalm 94, 12. Blessed is the
man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teaches him out of thy law.
May we observe in the words before us that the Lord puts chastening
before teaching. Is there not something remarkable
in this? Why should chastening precede
teaching? For this reason, we have no ear
to hear except so far as we are chastened. It was so with the
prodigal son. Until he was brought to his right
mind by strokes of hunger, he did not think of his father's
house. He had no heart to return, but a mighty famine sent him
home. So it is with God's children. As long as they are allowed to
wander in their backslidings, they have no heart to return.
but let the rod come, let them be driven home by stripes. Then
they have an ear to listen while God teaches them to profit, instructs
them by his blessed spirit, and speaks into their heart those
lessons which are for their eternal good. and teacheth him out of
thy law." The law in the scriptures has a very wide signification. It means in the original, instruction.
The word is Torah, which signifies teaching or direction. Thus the
word law is not confined to the law of Moses given in thunder
and lightning upon Mount Sinai, but it includes also the gospel
of the Lord Jesus Christ, the perfect law of liberty, the law
of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. That law which was in
the heart of the Redeemer when He said, I come to do thy will,
O God. Yea, thy law is within my heart. Now, as the Lord teaches his
children out of the law, strictly so-called, so he teaches them
out of the gospel. And to my mind, there is something
exceedingly sweet and expressive in the words, out of the law. It seems to convey not only that
the law is a treasure house of wrath, but that the gospel also
is a treasure house of mercy and as those who know most of
the law are only taught out of the law and not the whole of
the law only a few drops as it were out of the inexhaustible
wrath of god so out of the heavenly treasure house of the gospel
the perfect law of liberty it is but a little of grace and
mercy that is in this life can be known As Christ said to His
disciples in promising the Spirit, He shall take of Mine and shall
shew it unto you. He cannot take all and show it
unto them, for none could live under the sight. The Spirit,
therefore, takes of the things of Christ, and shews here a little
and there a little, some little blessedness here and some little
blessedness there, a suitable promise, a gracious testimony,
a comforting text, an encouraging word, a sight of atoning blood,
a smile of His countenance, a view of His person, a discovery of
His righteousness. or a glimpse of his love. This
is taking of the things of Christ and revealing them to the soul.
And thus, the man whom the Lord takes in hand, he teaches out
of the gospel by making Christ experimentally known in revealing
his dying love. And thus he teaches each and
all out of his law, both the law from Sinai and the law from
Zion. That was from preacher J.C. Philpott,
written approximately the year of our Lord, 1860. When will
Christ return? The date setters are all over
this topic. Some are insisting Christ will
come back on such and such day or on another date. They boldly make this prediction
in spite of the Lord's words from Matthew 24, 36 and Mark
13, 32 of that day and our no man knoweth. Christ declared it is not for
you to know the times or the seasons which the father hath
put in his own power. Acts 1 7 Only a fool would seek
to know that which our lord declares unknowable. The fact is we are
to live in perpetual anticipation of his return our lord proclaimed
and uh Behold I come quickly and all of his people echo John's
reply even so come Lord Jesus Revelation 22 20 if you want
my opinion as to whether his coming will be soon I would state
the obvious it is nearer than it has ever been before of this
much I am certain Christ will not come again until all of his
lost sheep have been gathered safely into the fold of salvation
as to his return Let us be content to embrace the simple yet glorious
promise of the Savior to his disciples. I will come again
and receive you unto myself. He said that in John 14, 3. Until
he returns, may we be diligent to do what he called us to do,
proclaim his glorious gospel. That was from preacher Gary Shepherd
of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church located in Jacksonville, North
Carolina, USA. It is written in Isaiah 45, 22,
where our Lord Jesus Christ commands, look unto me and be ye saved,
all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none else. And the master also says in Matthew
11, 28 through 30, come unto me all you that labor and are
heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and
learn of me for I am meek and lowly in heart and you shall
find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden
is light. Friends, it is imperative that
you flee to Christ Jesus today, not tomorrow, for none of us
are promised another day on this planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
while he may be found, and seek him while he is near. Only by
being in Christ, the ark of our salvation, may we be delivered
from the fierce wrath of Almighty God, which is coming soon upon
the wicked. This about wraps up this evening's
broadcast. I trust Almighty God will awaken His sleeping elect
and draw multitudes of men, women, and children around the world
to His only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness. If you are led of the Lord to
