Warm greetings, friends, near
and far! The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever! This is Sinner Saved, coming
at you, and the following short evangelistic gospel message is
sponsored by Preacher Wayne Boyd and the Brethren in Christ at
First Baptist Church, located in Almont, Michigan, USA. And God willing, this broadcast
will reach you, Lima Charlie, loud and clear! It is my hope
and prayer unto God Most High, the only Holy Father, that His
only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our Righteousness, be
greatly exalted, that His everlasting Gospel be clearly proclaimed,
that the pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and
that His elect saints be greatly encouraged and comforted. in
these evil and perilous days. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please find enclosed encouragement
and so great salvation by the perfect and finished work of
our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy, and wretched sinners
by His sovereign free grace. That is to say, Almighty God,
in His unmerited favor, to save me and you from our sins and
from hell. A reading from Psalm 91 verses
1 through 8. He that dwelleth in the secret
place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the
Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is
my refuge and my fortress, my God in Him will I trust. Surely
He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from
the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his
feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust. His truth shall
be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for
the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flyeth by day,
nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor for the destruction
that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy
side, and ten thousand at thy right hand, but it shall not
come nigh thee. With thine eyes shalt thou behold
and see the reward of the wicked. Grace and Glory Many people think
of this free grace of God that it is free because they like
to have it, but it is free because God likes to give it. The freeness
is on God's part. The riches of this eternal glory
are God's, and it comes to us through a perfect Savior. What
we are called to is not to the praise or the glory of our faith
because we believed But it is to behold the praise and glory
of God shining unto us in the face of Jesus Christ from 2nd
Corinthians 4 6 God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness
hath shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge
of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ and That eternal
glory given to him is in bringing many sons to glory, to behold
his face, to see him, and to be like unto him. And behold,
that eternal glory he had with the Father before the worlds
were. The Father's delight the Father's
darling, the Father's only begotten Son, by whom he created all things,
and for whom he created all things, and into whose hand all things
are given in heaven and on earth, that he should reign, and whose
dominion he will show forth in a little while, friends. We see
not yet all things put under him But we see Jesus who was
made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death
crowned with glory and honor that He by the grace of God should
taste death for every man We see not yet all the powers of
earth and hell put under his feet, but we shall See this by
and by For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under
his feet. The last enemy that shall be
destroyed is death. 1 Corinthians 15, 25, and 26. Before that, we find kings and
all in authority who have fought against him. All people and all
creatures who have fought and rebelled against him will be
put under his feet. He must reign until he shall
have put down all rule and all authority and power. And the
last that will be put down is death itself. That was from preacher
Joseph Orton. The year of our Lord, 1874. Lamentations
339. Wherefore doth a living man complain? I do not know who wrote the following
but here are 12 good reasons that not to murmur or complain. God commands men never to complain. Philippians 2.14 God commands
me to give thanks in every circumstance. 1 Thessalonians 5.18 God commands
me to rejoice always, especially in trials. 1 Thessalonians 5.16
and James 1.2 I always deserve much more than
what I am suffering now, and the truth be told, in fact, I
deserve hell." Lamentations 3.39, Luke 13.2-3. In light of the eternal happiness
and glory that I will experience in heaven, this present trial
is brief and insignificant, even if it were to last a lifetime.
Please see Romans 8, 18, 2 Corinthians 5, 19. My suffering is far less
than that which Christ himself suffered, and he did not complain. 1 Peter 2, 23. To complain is to say God is
not just. See Genesis 18, 25. Faith and
prayer exclude complaining. Psalm 34, 4. This difficulty
is being used by God for my good, and it is foolish for me to complain
against it." Romans 8, 28. Those more faithful than I have
suffered far worse than I, and did so without complaint. Hebrews
11, verses 35-39. Complaining denies that God's
grace is entirely sufficient. 2 Corinthians 12, 9. And the
last, 12th reason is, the greatest suffering, the worst trial or
difficulty can never rob me of that which is of greatest value
to me and my greatest joy, namely, the love of Christ for me. Romans
8, 35 through 39. Christ our substitute, from Matthew
27, 26. Then released he Barabbas unto
them, and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be
crucified. God has ordered by His marvelous
providence a vivid picture of every believer's substitute.
Barabbas was rightly charged, convicted, and sentenced to be
executed. He was found guilty of murder,
robbery, and sedition against Rome. When the executioner came
to release him, he was told Jesus had taken his scourging and crucifixion
and that he could go free. Barabbas is a type and picture
of sinners for whom Christ Jesus died 1st Timothy 1 15 and We
stand guilty before the law of God, Romans 3, 19-20. We were
justly convicted of great offenses against God, Psalm 51, 4. We were awaiting the execution
by God's holy law, Romans 6, 23. However, by the order of
Almighty God, Jesus Christ was sent to rescue, redeem, and release
sinners. Matthew 9, 13 and Luke 4, 18. Believers no more merit release
and rescue than Baramas did. Ephesians 2, 1 through 4. But
God, in his sovereign grace, sent the gracious substitute,
the Lord Jesus Christ, to take our place and set us free. 1
Peter 3, 18. Christ Jesus paid our debt to
God's law and justice and cleared us of all guilt. Galatians 3
10 through 13 Christ Jesus took our scourging and with his stripes. We are healed Isaiah 53 5 Christ
Jesus took our death and gave us his life 1st John 5 12 he
took our sin and gave us his righteousness 2nd Corinthians
5 21 he was condemned though innocent 1st Peter 2 22 that
we might be justified through our Though guilty, Romans 3,
24-26 and Romans 8, 1. There is infinite merit in all
that Christ performed for his covenant people, Hebrews 2, 17,
Romans 5, 6-11. Surely it is right to honor and
worship the Lamb of God that takes away all our sin and that
brings in and freely imputes to us an everlasting righteousness,
1 John 3, 5. John 1 29 in Romans 4 6 God forbid
that I should glory save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ
by whom the world is crucified unto me and I unto the world
Galatians 6 14 and that message was from preacher Tom Harding
a Reading from Psalm 17 8 Keep me as the apple of the eye hide
me under the shadow of thy wings. I Is this not the prayer of all
God's children? Knowing something of our sinfulness,
weakness, fickleness, unbelief, and tendency to roam, we constantly
pray, Lord, keep me. The word keep means watch over,
preserve, guard, and protect. Lord, keep me at all times. Keep
me when you lead me into the valley of trial, lest I be filled
with hopelessness. Lord, please keep me when I ascend
to successes in life, lest I be filled with pride. Lord, keep
me in the time of sickness, lest I be overcome with despair. Keep
me, O Lord, in the time of health, lest I be presumptuous. Keep
me in the days of youth, lest I waste my life in frivolity. Keep me in the days of old age,
when I grow weak and feeble. Please keep me, O Lord, when
I am sick. Keep me when I am well. Keep me when I rejoice.
Keep me when I am sad. Keep me when I am awake. Lord,
please keep me when I am asleep. Keep me when I remember Thee.
Keep me when I forget Thee. Keep me when my faith is strong. Oh Lord, please keep me when
my faith is weak. Keep me when I seem to have no
faith at all. Keep me no matter where I go. Keep me throughout my pilgrim
journey. quote, looking unto Jesus, the
author and finisher of my faith, end quote. Keep me while you
give me breath, and keep me when you take it away. Oh Lord, keep
me forevermore. Now hear the words of the Lord
to Jacob, and know that if you are a child of God, they are
for you as well. From Genesis 28, 15, and behold,
I am with thee, and will keep thee at all places whither thou
goest. That was from preacher Jim Bird.
It is written in Isaiah 45, 22, where our Lord Jesus commands,
look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, for
I am God and there is none else. The master says in Matthew 11
28 through 30 come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden
And I will give you rest take my yoke upon you and learn of
me for I am meek and lowly in heart and ye shall find rest
unto your souls for my yoke is easy and my burden is light and
Friends, it is imperative that you flee to Christ Jesus today,
not tomorrow, for none of us are promised another day on this
earth. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
while he may be found, and seek him while he is near. Only by
being in Christ, the ark of our salvation, may we be delivered
from the fierce wrath of Almighty God, which is coming soon upon
the wicked. This about wraps up this evening's
broadcast. I trust Almighty God will awaken
His sleeping elect and draw multitudes of men, women, and children from
amongst every tribe, tongue, nation, and people around the
world to His only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness! Yahovah Sidkenu! If you'd like
to communicate, then please feel free to write. The email address
is thelordbmagnified at gmail.com. And I'd be interested, especially
if you're overseas, let me know what country you're from and
anything you want to talk about. We'd love to hear from you. Great
is our Lord Jesus Christ, and greatly to be praised. Take heart,
friends! Our mighty and glorious King
of Glory is inbound for His afflicted saints! Even so, come quickly,
Lord Jesus! Meriatha!
