How do we know God’s truth is effective?

Answered in 1 source

God’s truth, as revealed in Scripture, is effective because it accomplishes His purposes and does not return void.

The truth of God is portrayed as powerful and effective throughout Scripture. In Isaiah 55:11, it is stated that God's Word will not return to Him void; it will accomplish what He desires and succeed in its mission. This is echoed in the sermon, emphasizing that the Word of God cannot be bound or thwarted. When God sends His Word forth, it performs its intended work, as it is the instrument through which He brings life and faith to His elect. The effectiveness of God's truth is not reliant on human effort, but rather on God's sovereign will to fulfill His purposes through the message of the Gospel.
