How does Satan deceive humanity according to Revelation 12?

Answered in 1 source

Satan deceives humanity by spreading lies and leading people away from the gospel of grace.

Revelation 12 depicts Satan as the great deceiver who has led the entire world astray. His tactics include promoting falsehoods, the most significant of which is the lie that individuals can control their own destiny or achieve salvation through their own efforts. This deceit parallels the original temptation in the Garden of Eden, where he convinced Eve to question God's word. As a result, humanity is often led to seek salvation through works rather than through faith in Christ alone, which is the message of the gospel. The call to embrace Christ is a call to reject Satan's lies and embrace the truth of grace offered in Him.
