Warm greetings, friends, near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. His loving kindnesses, tender
mercies, and compassions are new every morning. Great is His
faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This
is Sinner Saved coming at you with the following short evangelistic
gospel message, and God willing, this broadcast will reach you,
Lima Charlie, loud and clear. It is my hope and prayer unto
God Most High, the only Holy Father, that His only begotten
Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness, be greatly exalted,
that His everlasting gospel be clearly proclaimed, that the
pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and that His
elect saints be greatly encouraged, cheered and comforted in these
evil and perilous times. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please find
enclosed encouragement in so great salvation by the perfect
and finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor,
needy, and wretched sinners by His sovereign free grace. That
is to say, Almighty God in His unmerited favor to save me and
you from our sins and from hell. What sacred fountain yonder springs
up from the throne of God, and all new covenant blessings bring,
tis Jesus' precious blood. What mighty sum paid all my debt
when I, a bondman, stood, and has my soul at freedom set, tis
Jesus' precious blood. What stream is that which sweeps
away my sins just like a flood, nor lets one guilty blemish stay,
tis Jesus' precious blood. What voice is that which speaks
for me in heaven's high court for good and from the curse that
has set me free to his Jesus's precious blood Those were the
lyrics from the old hymn Oh for a thousand tongues Humility a
reading from 1st Corinthians 15 10 But by the grace of God
I am what I am and his grace which was bestowed upon me was
not in vain. I but I labored more abundantly
than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with
me. We are not desirous of honor,
esteem, and applause from men, for we are what we are by the
grace of God. God can take away what we have
as easily as he gave it. We do not despise and provoke
one another with our piety, Nor do we want to appear to be wiser,
or richer in grace, nor more gifted than others. For we are
less than the least of the saints. Neither do we envy the gifts,
abilities, or grace of another. God will enlighten us, equip
us, and bless us as he sees fit to use us." That was from preacher
Henry Mahan. A glorious paradox. Believers
on the one hand are nothing but sin, and on the other hand they
have no sin. This is one of the great mysteries
of the gospel that keeps God's people humble yet hopeful. It
causes them to cast all their care on the one that cares for
them. It leads them to have no confidence
in the flesh, yet to come boldly before the throne of grace. It
is the reason they can mourn and rejoice at the same time. It shows them their inability
to satisfy any part of God's law, and it frees them from the
condemnation of the law. It causes them to bow in humble
worship as mercy beggars, yet they hold fast the confidence
and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end. Excuse me, friends. They are nothing, yet have everything.
They are hell-deserving, yet heaven-bound. They are in abject
poverty, and they are infinitely and eternally rich. To the natural
man, these things are a contradiction. To the child of God, they are
his life." That message was from preacher Greg Elmquist. Faith,
not a feeling. Salvation is not a question of
feeling, as so many would make it. It is entirely a matter of
faith in a person, in an accomplished fact, Faith wrought in the soul
of a sinner by the power of the Holy Ghost. This faith is something
quite different from a mere feeling of the person or an ascent of
the intellect. Mere feeling and sentimentality,
or emotion, can never rise above the source from whence they come,
and that source is self. But faith has to do with God
and His eternal word, and is a living link, connecting the
heart that possesses it with God who gives it. feelings and
sentiments can never connect with the soul of God. No doubt,
faith will produce feeling and sentiments, that is to say spiritual
feelings and truthful sentiments, but the fruits of faith must
never be confounded with faith itself. He can only be known
by his own revelation, speaking of the Lord Jesus that is, and
by the faith which Christ himself imparts. Good message from preacher
Scott Richardson. Freedom and liberty in Christ. From 2 Corinthians 3.17. Now
the Lord is that spirit, and where the spirit of the Lord
is, there is liberty. Paul encourages all believers
to stand fast in the liberty and freedom we enjoy in the Lord
Jesus Christ. Stand fast, therefore, in the
liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled
again with the yoke of bondage. Galatians 5.1. Consider these
brief thoughts of the believers, freedom in Christ. Number one,
where Christ in the gospel is, the spirit of illumination in
our heart, there is freedom from darkness. The Lord Jesus says
in John 18, or excuse me, John 8, 12, I am the light of the
world. He that followeth me shall not
walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. and from Colossians
1.13, who hath delivered us from the power of darkness and hath
translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. Number two,
where Christ in the gospel is, the spirit of regeneration in
our heart, there is freedom from the bondage of sin. The Lord
Jesus says in John 8 verse 32 and 36, and you shall know the
truth, and the truth shall make you free. If the Son therefore
shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. 3. Where Christ
and the gospel is, the spirit of redemption in our heart, there
is freedom from the curse and penalty of sin. Christ hath redeemed
us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. For
it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree. Galatians
3.13 Number four where Christ in the gospel is the spirit of
comfort in our heart. There is freedom from fear and
wrath But now thus saith the Lord that created thee O Jacob
and he that formed thee O Israel Fear not for I have redeemed
thee. I have called thee by thy name
thou art mine Isaiah 43 1 Number five, for Christ in the
gospel is the spirit of adoption in our heart, there is the freedom
of a child to come unto his loving father. Let us therefore come
boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and
find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4.16. Number six, where Christ in the
gospel is, the spirit of love shed abroad in our heart. See
Romans 5.5. There is freedom to serve him
not out of fear of punishment or threat of the law, but with
a generous spirit of thanksgiving. See Psalm 103.1. The love of
Christ constraineth us. 2 Corinthians 5.14. That message was from Tom Harding. Joy and Peace Forever, Romans
15, 13. Now the God of hope fill you
with all joy and peace in believing that ye may abound in hope through
the power of the Holy Ghost. All people, lost and saved, desire
both joy and peace, but man by nature seeks these things where
they cannot be truly found in eternity. He may find moments
of joy and peace, but these moments will not last. Some may last
until the judgment, but false joy and peace will be exposed
as men come before Christ. See Matthew chapter 7, verses
21 through 23. The Word of God speaks of joy
and peace in believing, but people can believe a lie, and most even
in religion do. This joy and peace come by and
from the Lord Jesus Christ as He is revealed in the Gospel
of God's free and sovereign grace. to save, preserve, protect, and
glorify his people based on the righteousness of Christ imputed
to them, and as the Holy Spirit gives them spiritual life in
the revelation of a true gospel to them. Please see Isaiah 32,
verses 16 through 20, Romans 1, verses 16 and 17, and also
Romans 10, verses 13 through 15. Those who have a sense of joy
and peace by believing in a false gospel salvation by the works
and the wills of sinners will be sadly disappointed unless
the Holy Spirit brings them under the true gospel and gives them
the gifts of faith in Christ and repentance of dead works.
This is the only joy and peace that will last forever and ever. Good message from preacher Bill
Parker. The new birth, the Lord Jesus says in John 3, 6, that
which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born
of the spirit is spirit. What then is the new birth? It
is not the removal of anything from the center nor the changing
of anything physical or fleshly in the center. Instead, it is
the communication of something new to the center. The new birth is the impartation
of a new nature. When we are born the first time,
we received from our parents their nature. So too, when we
are born again, we receive from God His nature. The Spirit of
God begets us within begets within us a spiritual nature. Please
see Galatians 5.17 and also 2 Peter 1.4. That which is born of man
is human. That which is born of God is
divine and spiritual. See 1 John 3.9. Nicodemus was startled. He was
amazed at the Savior's words. Yet he ought not to have been.
Man by birth and nature is blind and opposed to the things of
God, and no amount of religious training can change this evil
nature. His chief need is a new nature,
to be born again. It is a must A man must have
a spiritual nature before he can understand, enter, or enjoy
the kingdom of God. See John 3.3. That message was
from preacher Henry Mahan. What God has said to us in his
word, who shall ever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall
be saved. What is it to call on the name
of the Lord? It is to call on the Lord Jesus
Christ for all of our salvation, start to finish. Call his name
Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins. See Matthew
1.21. To call upon him for salvation,
is to call upon Him and not my religion. It is to call upon
Christ and not my devotion as a Christian. It is to call upon
Christ and not my good moral obedience to the law. It is to
call on His will and purpose in all things and not my will
or decision in anything. It is to say, I can't save myself,
you must save me, oh Lord Jesus. This is not in my hands, this
is in your hands alone. I plead your finished work, Lord
Jesus. I beg for your abundant grace
and mercy through the shedding of your own blood, Lord Jesus.
It is to believe in the heart. Lord, I can't even call on you
unless you call on me first. That is calling upon the name
of the Lord. And the word of promise to us
from our Lord is, who shall ever shall call upon the name of the
Lord shall be saved. Excellent message from preacher
Gabe Stoniker. It is written in Isaiah 45, where
the Lord Jesus commands, look unto me and be ye saved, all
the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none else. The
master also says in Matthew 11, come unto me, all you that labor
and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon
you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and
you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and
my burden is light. Friends, it is imperative that
you flee to Christ Jesus today, not tomorrow, for none of us
are promised another day on this planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ while he may be found, and seek him while he
is near. Only by being in Christ, the
ark of our salvation, may we be delivered from the fierce
wrath of Almighty God, which is coming soon upon the wicked.
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was and is and is to come. Great is our Lord Jesus Christ,
and greatly to be praised. Take heart, friends. Our mighty
and glorious King of glory is inbound for His afflicted saints.
Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus. Maranatha.
