Warm greetings, friends, near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. His loving kindnesses, tender
mercies, and compassions are new every morning. Great is His
faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This is Sinner Saved coming at
you with the following short evangelistic gospel message.
And God willing, this broadcast will reach you, Elena Charlie,
loud and clear. It is my hope and prayer unto
God Most High, the only Holy Father, that His only begotten
Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness, be greatly exalted,
that His everlasting gospel be clearly proclaimed, that the
pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and that His
elect saints be greatly encouraged, cheered, and comforted in these
evil and perilous times. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please find enclosed encouragement
in so great salvation by the perfect and finished work of
our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy, and wretched sinners
by his sovereign free grace. That is to say, Almighty God
and His unmerited favor to save me and you from our sins and
from hell. 2 Peter 1.10, Brethren, give diligence
to make your calling in election sure. Work for life, say the
sons of ignorance and pride. Work, not at all. Christ has
left us nothing to do, say the sons of sloth and licentiousness. But, say the sons of wisdom,
we labor and give diligence in the ways of God, not in order
to obtain life, not to be saved for what we do, but to enjoy
more of the life of Christ, the love of God. and the assurance
of his spirit that we are his children. To this Peter exhorts,
brethren, ye who profess to believe in the Son of God and long to
know assuredly that ye are the children of God, give diligence. Do not rest in idle wishes, cold
desires, and formal duties, but be earnest, be active, be upon
the stretch for God. As we say, leave no stone unturned. Study the Lord's word of grace.
Dwell upon the rich promises of His love. Meditate upon the
finished salvation of Christ. Confer with His people. Be fervent
in prayer. Strive against sin. Resist Satan. Deny the flesh. Cry for the eyewitness
of the Spirit. All this, say you, is very good,
but I want power to do it. Have you a will to do it? Then
the Lord who gave you a will will strengthen you by his power
while you are found in these things. Nay, say not you wish
to be happy in God if you neglect to be diligent in the ways of
God, for what is this but solemn mockery of God in sadly deceiving
your own soul? Consider the end of this diligence,
to make your calling and election sure. your calling. There is a general call of the
gospel to every sinner who is within the sound of it. Some
rest in this. This is not meant, but a special
and effectual call from a death and sin to life and salvation
in Christ, from a proud hope and vain confidence in ourselves
and our works to a lively faith in Christ and comfortable fellowship
with God. your election. This is a frightful
word to many. They fight strongly against it.
As they believe there is no election of grace, they cannot labor to
make their own sure. The apostles leaves such to their
own carnal notions, while he assures real believers of this
truth that some are elected according to the foreknowledge of God.
See 1 Peter 1, 2. It urges them to diligence, to
obtain the assurance of their own interests therein, so that
you see the doctrine of election, so far from encouraging sloth,
is the very spring of diligence and activity. The Lord gave us
a right judgment in all things, for this will influence to a
right walk in godly conversation in Christ Jesus. Called to run
the heavenly race with Christ my prize and view, I will be
diligent through grace with vigor to pursue. My soul nor tire,
nor look back, nor faint, look up to Christ for peace. He will
give joy to every saint from doubts and fears release. Was
from old-timer William Mason long time ago Isaiah 50 10 Who
is among you that feareth the Lord that obeyeth the voice of
his servant that walk? Walked in darkness and hath no
light let him trust in the name of the Lord and stay upon his
God Lord help us to do so Give glory to God Exalt the Father's
name who from our fallen race chose out of people to proclaim
the wonders of His grace. Give honor to the Son who dwelt
in human clay. By His own blood our debt was
paid and sin was washed away. Praise God, the Holy Ghost. He
brought us to the Lord. Let songs from all the ransomed
hosts arise with one accord. Give glory to the Lord. Sing
out his worthy praise. His name shall ever be adored
through everlasting days." And that was sung to the old hymn,
I Love Thy Kingdom, Lord. And the words were from preacher
Jim Byrd. What a glorious Savior. Christ Jesus was the obedient
servant who descended into this world to perform the Father's
will of redemption, yet He is the all-powerful Jehovah, Creator
of all things. He is infinitely righteous, yet
He was made to be sin that we might be made the righteousness
of God. He was lowly enough to visit
us in our misery, and yet so glorious that angels veiled their
faces in His presence. He is such a tender and compassionate
Redeemer, that a bruised reed shall He not break. And yet He
is our mighty Defender, who promised, no weapon that is formed against
thee shall prosper. Though in Him dwelleth the fullness
of the Godhead bodily, Still he stoops to visit and lift the
beggar from the dunghill and to set them among princes, and
to make them inherit the throne of glory. In great love he healeth
the broken in heart, and yet he will trample his enemies beneath
his feet. The more we rely upon ourselves
for anything, the less we will rely upon our ever-faithful God. Faith not only trusts the Lord
when the days are bright and cheerful, but also when our days
are filled with storm clouds and troubles. Faith looks at
all circumstances and echoes the words of the apostle. In
everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ
Jesus concerning you. That's 1 Thessalonians 5.18.
Like the father with the sick child, we cry, Lord, I believe. Help thou mine unbelief. Mark
9 24. Excellent. Three questions about false religion. What is false religion? It is
any teaching that lessens the person of God and elevates the
worth of man. It is any belief that lowers
the person of Christ and His accomplished redemption. It is
any teaching that diminishes the work of the Holy Spirit,
leaving the salvation of the soul up to the so-called free
will of man. False religion always makes the
salvation of sinners dependent upon not the sovereign grace,
power, and will of the Lord, but upon a person's willingness
to cooperate with God. False religion sets forth God
to be less than he is, and man to be more than he is. It reduces
the work of Christ on the cross to an effort to save, not a successful
redemption and reconciliation. It makes his bloody death of
no real benefit unless and until the sinner adds his will, faith,
or works to it. Excuse me, friends. False religion
makes the work of the Holy Spirit to be dependent upon the decision
of man. It presents God as man's servant
or valet, who cannot act without the permission of the sinner.
In short, false religion would climb up to heaven, jerk the
Lord God Himself off of His throne, and have man exalted at His stead.
Madness! Where is false religion to be
found? It is no respecter of denominations. It cuts across
religious boundaries. It has invaded the globe, and
its origin can be traced to the devil, who is a liar and the
father of it." John 8, 44. Would you know how deep man has
fallen into sin? People willingly receive false
teaching, but the truth of salvation by grace alone, in and through
the justice-satisfying work of Christ alone, and made known
by the revelation of the Spirit, is found to be offensive. False religion is readily embraced
by the famous and the unknown, the hypocrite and the sincere,
the educated and the unlearned. The Bible calls false religion
the great harlot, alluring, seductively attractive, and irresistible
to the natural man. No power can break the spell
she has cast upon mankind except the grace of Almighty God, who
will not allow his people to remain in her, as it's written
in Revelation 18.4, Come out of her, my people, that ye be
not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."
What will happen to all false religion? One writer said, Prophets
may plant false religion with their pretended revelations.
Martyrs may water it with their blood. Confessor after confessor
may defend it with his learning and with his courage. Time may
endear it. Literature may protect it. And
kings may keep guard about it. But he that rules in the heavens
and cares not for human might, shall certainly grasp its trunk,
and pulling it up by the roots, and hurl it into the fire, because
he hath not planted it. Yes, every hoary system of superstition,
every ancient form of idolatry, every vulnerable species of will-worship,
shall be certainly overturned, just as sure God is true. False religion is a damnable
thing, a horrible beast that must be destroyed, and when it
is, the saints will rejoice and shout, hallelujah, salvation
and glory and honor and power unto the Lord our God, for true
and righteous are his judgments, for he hath judged the great
whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication."
Revelation. 19 versus 1 and 2 that message
and a few other message previously were from preacher Jim Byrd Justification is an act of God's
free grace, whereby he clears his people from sin, discharges
them from condemnation, and reckons and accounts them righteous for
the sake of Christ's righteousness, which he has accepted of and
imputes unto them. Outstanding. That was from old
theologian, preacher John Gill. It is written in Isaiah 45, 22,
where our Lord Jesus Christ commands, look unto me and be saved all
the ends of the earth for I am God and there is none else. The
master, Christ Jesus, says in Matthew 11, Excuse me. Come on to me all you that labor
in our heavy laden and I will give you rest Take my yoke upon
you and learn of me for I am meek and lowly in heart And you
shall find rest unto your souls for my yoke is easy and my burden
is light. I Friends, it is imperative that
you flee to Christ Jesus today, not tomorrow, for none of us
are promised another day on this planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ while he may be found, and seek him while he
is near, only by being in Christ, the ark of our salvation. May
we be delivered from the fierce wrath of Almighty God, which
is coming soon upon the wicked. Holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty,
which was and is and is to come. Great is our Lord Jesus Christ,
and greatly to be praised. Take heart, friends. Our mighty
and glorious King of Glory is inbound for His afflicted saints. Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus. Maranatha.
