Warm greetings, friends, near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. His loving kindnesses, tender
mercies, and compassions are new every morning. Great is His
faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This
is Sinner Saved coming at you with the following short evangelistic
gospel message, which is sponsored by preacher Wayne Boyd and the
Brethren in Christ Jesus at First Baptist Church located in Elmont,
Michigan, USA. And God willing, this broadcast
will reach you, Lima Charlie, loud and clear. It is my hope
and prayer unto God most high, the only holy father, that his
only begotten son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness, be
greatly exalted, that his everlasting gospel be clearly proclaimed,
that the pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and
that his elect saints be greatly encouraged, cheered, and comforted. in these evil and perilous days. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Huzzah! Please find
enclosed encouragement in so great salvation by the perfect
and finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor,
needy, and wretched sinners by his sovereign free grace. That
is to say, almighty God in his unmerited favor to save me and
you from our sins and from hell. The word grace in its proper
sense means the free and undeserved love or favor of God exercised
toward the undeserving untoward sinners. It is something that
which given irrespective of any worthiness in man and to introduce
works or merit into any part of this scheme vitiates its nature
and frustrates its design. Just because it is grace, it
is not given on the basis of preceding merits. As the very
name imports, it is necessarily gratuitous. And since man is
enslaved to sin until it is given, all the merits that he can have
prior to it are bad merits and deserve only punishment, not
gifts or favor. Whatever of good men have that
God has given, and what they have not, why, of course, God
has not given it. And since grace is given irrespective
of preceding merit, it is therefore sovereign and is bestowed only
on those whom God has selected for its reception. It is this
sovereignty of grace and not its foresight or preparation
for it, which places men in God's hands and suspends salvation
absolutely on his unlimited mercy. In this, we find the basis for
his election or rejection of particular persons. That was
from preacher Lorraine Botner. The remainder of wrath. A reading
from Psalm 76, 10. Surely the wrath of man shall
praise thee. The remainder of wrath shalt
thou restrain. Let none think that things are
as bad as they could be in this world or that men do all the
evil they want without limitation. Thankfully, the remainder of
wrath the Lord restrains. Yes, sinners commit unspeakable
crimes against God and other sinners. Yet when men have sinned,
they have not fully expressed the depravity of their hearts.
Much wrath yet remains, which the Lord prevents from being
committed. When the wicked have exposed their wretchedness by
ungodly deeds, there is still the remainder of evil in their
hearts, which the Lord has forbidden to be set forth. In the eternal
purpose of God, he determined the path of all things, even
wrath or evil. He so controls it so that it
cannot escape the bounds he has set. When Satan was used of God
to tempt Job, the Lord said to the evil one, behold, he is in
thine hand, but save his life. Job 2.6. The old timers said
that the defeated foe, Satan, is God's dog on a leash. Continuing
here, Satan would have taken his life, but the Lord restrained
his wrath. Even so, the evil of man and
Satan always serves the purpose of God, and he so controls it
so that it cannot go beyond the bounds that he has set. Somehow,
in a way both mysterious and miraculous, evil is used of God
to fulfill His infinite decrees. Both man's wrath as well as the
devil's is always measured by the Lord and kept from exceeding
the limits He has set. We know that evil is all around
us and in us, sadly, yet our Lord governs all things, good
and evil. Men and devils can only do those
things which our Lord has determined and cannot cross the boundary
He has set. Behold, the wrath of man exercised
toward the Savior when the Son of God dwelt in human flesh.
Wicked men arrested him and demanded his death, and Christ died for
our sins. But the evil that men did was
overruled by the Lord, for he brought forth good out of the
evil that they did. The death of Christ accomplished
eternal redemption. It is a certainty that when the
wrath of man will not work to accomplish the purpose of God,
that wrath will be restrained. all other mischiefs which men
would do if they could, if they will not ultimately work to fulfill
that which God has ordained, he will restrain it. It will
not happen. And from Revelation 19, 6, hallelujah,
for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Sovereign grace, o'er sin abounding,
Ransomed souls, the tidings swell, Tis a deep that knows no sounding,
Who its breadth or length can tell? Heirs of God, joint heirs
with Jesus, Long ere time its race begun, To his name eternal
praises, O what wonders love hath done! Who from Christ our
souls can sever, Bound by everlasting bands. Once in Him, in Him forever,
None can pluck us from His hands. On such love my soul still ponder,
Love so great, so rich, so free. Say, while lost in holy wonder,
Why, O Lord, such love to me? That's an old gospel hymn entitled
Jesus Calls Us. Is God sovereign? What do we
mean when we say God is sovereign? Simply this, God is God and has
absolute authority over His works of creation, providence, and
grace. He reigns upon His throne, He
exercises His will, He brings His purposes to pass, and He
governs all things. My friend, The truth of divine
sovereignty is not complicated. Yes, it is offensive to the natural
man, but it is not complicated. Either God reigns or he is reigned
over. Either God rules or somebody
rules God. Either God governs or he is governed. Either God has his will or man
has his will. Is God sovereign? This is not
a difficult question to answer if we bow to the authority of
scripture, as it is written in Psalm 135, verse six, whatsoever
the Lord please, that did he in heaven and in earth, in the
seas and all deep places. The Lord said in Isaiah 46, verses
11 and 12, my counsel shall stand and I will do all my pleasure.
I have purposed it, I will also do it. When Samuel told Eli that
the Lord was going to kill his evil sons, Eli bowed to the sovereign
authority of the Lord and said, it is the Lord, let him do what
seemeth him good. That's from 1 Samuel 3.18. Paul declared the sovereignty
of God and salvation and wrote in Romans 9.18, therefore, hath
he mercy on whom he will have mercy, in whom he will he hardeneth. Nebuchadnezzar said of the Lord
in Daniel 435, he doeth according to his will and the army of heaven
and among the inhabitants of the earth. Is God sovereign? Every person who submits to the
word of the Lord knows that he is. That's from preacher Jim Bird
of 13th Street Baptist Church, located in Ashland, Kentucky,
USA. And folks, anybody interested,
this weekend, 13th Street Baptist is going
to have a Bible conference from Friday through Sunday. If you're
in that area or led of the Lord, come and hear the gospel of the
Lord Jesus Christ preached. One more time, that's 13th Street
Baptist Church located in Ashland, Kentucky. just and justifier. How good does one have to be
to get to heaven? Will God accept sincerity? Will
God accept you if you do the best you can and lead a good
life? Can you get to heaven if from this day forward you serve
the Lord? Anyone who knows anything about
God and his word knows the answer to these questions must be an
emphatic no. See Romans 3 verses 20 through
28, very important people. It is not possible for any man
to do or think anything that is good or acceptable before
God. See Isaiah 64 6. God cannot and will not accept
anything less than what he is, which is absolute perfection. He says in Leviticus 22 verse
21, it shall be perfect to be accepted. In order to get to
heaven by our works, we must be as good as God, perfect in
all things, perfect in heart, perfect in thought, perfect in
works, perfectly holy. Is there therefore no hope? Must
we all perish forever? No! Blessed be the Lord our God
in Christ. He has found a way to be both
just and justifier. He has found a way to make fallen
sinful people like us perfect, perfectly holy, and perfectly
accepted. Now, this perfection is not of
us. It's not in us. and it's nor
through us nor the result of anything we do or have done. It is entirely the work of God's
free grace and the Lord Jesus Christ. God has taken Christ's
perfect righteousness and imputed it to us making us to be the
very righteousness of God in him. See Romans 4, 6. The penalty
against sin was paid in full by the doing, suffering, and
dying of our Lord Jesus Christ as the sinner's substitute. See
2 Corinthians 5, 21. That was from preacher Scott
Richardson. It is written in Isaiah 45, 22,
where our Lord Jesus Christ commands, look unto me and be saved all
the ends of the earth, for I am God and there's none else. In
the Master, the Lord Jesus Christ says in Matthew 11, 28 through
30, come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and
I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn
of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart. And ye shall find rest
unto your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Friends, it is imperative that
you flee to Christ Jesus today, not tomorrow, for none of us
are promised another day on this planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ, while he may be found, and seek him while he
is near, only by being in Christ, the ark of our salvation. May we be delivered from the
fierce wrath of Almighty God, which is coming soon upon the
wicked. This about wraps up this evening's
broadcast. I trust Almighty God will awaken
his sleeping elect and draw multitudes of men, women, and children around
the world to his only begotten son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our
righteousness. Yehovah Sidkenu. Bless the name. Baruch Hashem. Holy water of
Israel. Hakadosh Yisrael. Hallelujah. Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty,
which was and is and is to come. If you'd like to communicate,

Lord Jesus Christ. Maranatha.
