Warm greetings, friends near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. His loving kindness, his tender
mercies and compassions are new every morning. Great is his faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This
is Sinner Saved coming at you with the following short evangelistic
gospel message, which is sponsored by preacher Wayne Boyd and the
brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus at First Baptist Church
located in Almonte, Michigan, USA. And God willing, this broadcast
will reach you, Lima Charlie, loud and clear. It is my hope
and prayer unto God most high, the only holy father, that his
only begotten son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness, be
greatly exalted, that his everlasting gospel be clearly proclaimed,
that the pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and
that his elect saints be greatly encouraged, cheered, and comforted
in these evil and perilous days. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please find enclosed encouragement
in so great salvation by the perfect and finished work of
our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy, and wretched sinners
by his sovereign free grace. That is to say, Almighty God
did His unmerited favor to save me and you from our sins and
from hell. Our Lord Jesus Christ says the
following, which is John 3, 16, That which is born of the flesh
is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit. There is no promise that we shall
be set free in this life from the in-being and the in-working
of sin. Many think that they are to become
progressively holier, that sin after sin is to be removed gradually
out of the heart, until at last they're almost made perfect in
the flesh. But friends, this is an idle dream, in one which
sooner or later, in the case of God's people, will be rudely
and roughly broken to pieces. Nature will ever remain the same,
and we shall ever find that the flesh will lust against the spirit.
Our Adamic nature is corrupt to the very core. It cannot be
mended. It cannot be sanctified. It is
at the last what it was at the first, inherently evil, and as
such will never cease to be corrupt till we put off mortality and
with the body of sin and death. All we can hope for, long after,
expect and pray for is that this evil nature may be subdued, kept
down, mortified, crucified, and held in subjection under the
power of grace. But as to any such change passing
upon it or taking place in it as to make it holy, It is but
a pharisaic delusion, which, promising a holiness in the flesh,
leaves us still under the power of sin, whilst it opposes with
deadly enmity that true sanctification of the new man of grace, which
is wrought by a divine power. It is utterly distinct from any
fancied holiness in the flesh, or any vain dream of its so-called
progressive sanctification." Outstanding message, old-timer
preacher J.C. Philpott. Amazing love, how rich
and free, that God would set his love on me, forgive all my
iniquity, and save my soul eternally. What wondrous love and sovereign
grace, that Christ would come to take my place, to bear my
sin, and then to die, the laws demands to satisfy. Amazing love,
how can it be that Christ would die on Calvary? For by that death
he ransomed me, from condemnation I am free. Amazing love, oh wondrous
thought, the Savior my salvation bought. He drank the cup of justice
dry to save my soul and justify. amazing love is still my theme
for in that bloody crimson stream my sin and guilt were washed
away when jesus died my debt to pay amazing love will be our
song when all the ransomed blood-bought throng will be are gathered at
his loving his throne above will sing of god's amazing love hallelujah
do you believe on christ The word of God is clear, Acts 1631. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
and thou shalt be saved. Let no one misunderstand. None
have the promise of everlasting salvation and safety, but those
who believe on the Son of God. Hear the words of the Savior
to Nicodemus. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life,
and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the
wrath of God abideth on him. That's John 3.36. As it's written
in Hebrews 11, 6, without faith, it is impossible to please God. We must not conclude, however,
that the power of Christ's death and the cleansing virtue of his
blood are somehow dependent upon the faith of the sinner. Faith
adds nothing to the righteous obedience and bloody death of
the Son of God. In fact, faith is in itself a
gracious gift from God, as it is written in Ephesians 2, verses
8 and 9. For by grace are you saved through faith, and that
not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest
any man should boast. This God-given faith freely receives
the Savior as prophet, priest, and king, resting completely
in Him and His sacrificial justice satisfying death and resurrection
for salvation. Faith believes that He is who
His word says He is, that the work He did as the Savior of
sinners satisfied the demands of divine justice, and that there
is no other savior or mediator between a holy God and sinners
except Jesus of Nazareth, who is the Son of God. He only is
the Lord our righteousness, Jeremiah 23, 6. Faith bows to Christ.
The Lord says with Thomas, my Lord and my God, John 20, verse
28. Faith looks to Christ who died
that God might be just and the justifier of him which believeth
in Jesus and declares with the Apostle Paul, God forbid that
I should glory save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, Galatians
6 14. That excellent message was from
preacher Jim Byrd at 13th Street Baptist Church located in Ashland,
Kentucky, USA. Our refuge. A reading from Psalm
46, verses one through three. God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help and trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though
the earth be removed, though the mountains be carried into
the midst of the sea, though the waters thereof roar and be
troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.
Selah. God is a perpetual refuge and
security to his people. His providence is not confined
to one generation. It is not one age only that tastes
of his bounty and compassion. His eye never yet slept, nor
hath he permitted the little ship of his church to be swallowed
up, though it had been tossed upon the waves. He hath always
been a haven to preserve us and a house to secure us. He hath
always had compassions to pity us and power to protect us. He
hath had a face to shine when the world hath had angry countenance
to frown. He brought Enoch home by an extraordinary
translation from a violent world. And when he was resolved to reckon
with men for their brutish lives, he lodged Noah, the phoenix of
the world, in an ark and kept him alive as a spark in the midst
of many waters, whereby to rekindle a church in the world. In all
generations, he is a dwelling place to secure his people here
or entertain them above. His providence is not wearied
nor his care fainting. He never lacked the will to relieve
us nor ever can lack power to support us for he is God from
everlasting to everlasting. Psalm 90 verse 2, the church
never lacked a pilot to steer her and a rock to shelter her
and dash in pieces the waves which threaten her. That was
from preacher Stephen Charnock, written approximately the year
of our Lord, 1670. It is only because of the death and resurrection
of Christ, our stead, that believers may face the death of the body
and the entrance of the soul into the presence of God without
fear. Death for a child of God is not
the putting out of the light of life. It is merely the snuffing
out the candle of this temporal life and entering into the land
of pure delight, where the lamb is the light. Revelation 21 23
Matthew Henry said dying Saints may be justly envied while living
sinners are justly pitied Roland Hill exclaimed where you die
when you die or bow What means you die is scarcely worth a thought
if you do but die in Christ Augustus top lady reportedly spoke these
last words the celestial city rises full in sight the sense
of interest In the covenant of grace becomes clear and brighter.
The book of life is open to the eye of assurance. The Holy Spirit
more feelingly applies the blood of sprinkling and warms the soul
with that robe of righteousness, which Jesus wrought. John Bunyan
said to his family and friends as they gathered around his deathbed,
weep not for me. But for yourselves I go to the
father of our lord jesus christ who no doubt will receive me
though a sinner Through the mediation of our lord jesus christ where
I hope we shall ere long meet to sing the new song and remain
happy forever world without end amen It is written in Isaiah
45, 22, where our Lord Jesus Christ commands, look unto me
and be saved all the ends of the earth for I am God and there
is none else. The master, Jesus Christ the
Lord says again in Matthew 11, 28 through 30, Come unto me,
all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly
in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke
is easy, and my burden is light. Friends, it is imperative that
you flee to Christ Jesus today, not tomorrow, for none of us
are promised another day on this planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ while he may be found, and seek him while he
is near. Only by being in Christ, the
ark of our salvation, may we be delivered from the fierce
wrath of Almighty God, which is coming soon upon the wicked. This about wraps up this evening's
broadcast. I trust Almighty God will awaken His sleeping elect
and draw multitudes around the world to His only begotten Son,
Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness. Yehovah Sidkenu! Baruch Hashem! Bless the name! Holy One of Israel! Hakadosh Yisrael! Hallelujah! Great. It's our Lord Jesus Christ
and greatly to be praised. Take heart, friends. Our mighty
and glorious King of Glory is inbound for his afflicted saints. Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus! Maranatha!
