How can we trust God's promises like Abraham did?

Answered in 1 source

We can trust God's promises because He is faithful and sovereign, just as Abraham did when he obeyed God's call (Genesis 15:6).

Trusting God's promises, as Abraham did, requires believing in His faithfulness and sovereignty. Abraham's faith is highlighted in Genesis 15:6 where it says, 'And he believed in the Lord; and He counted it to him for righteousness.' This profound trust in God did not waver despite uncertain circumstances. Christians can approach God with similar faith, believing that His promises, particularly in Christ, are assured. In times of doubt or anxiety, recalling God's past faithfulness can strengthen our trust that He will fulfill His promises, prompting us to act in faith, just like Abraham. This relationship of trust and obedience is foundational in the believer's journey.
