How do spiritual gifts profit the church?

Answered in 1 source

Spiritual gifts profit the church by building up its members and creating unity among them.

The manifestation of the Spirit through spiritual gifts is intended for the profit of all members of the church. As stated in 1 Corinthians 12:7, these gifts are given to each person not just for individual benefit, but to collectively edify and benefit the entire body of Christ. Ephesians 4:12 specifies that such gifts are for the perfecting of the saints and the work of ministry until the church achieves a unity of faith and knowledge of Christ. In this way, spiritual gifts facilitate growth, encourage service, and promote love within the community, ultimately leading to the glory of God.
