How do trials strengthen our understanding of Scripture?

Answered in 1 source

Trials expose our reliance on God's Word, strengthening our faith and understanding of His promises.

Trials inevitably confront every believer, serving as a critical context in which God’s Word can be applied and understood. In Acts 27, Paul faced significant peril at sea, and instead of succumbing to fear, he encouraged those with him to trust God's promises. Through these tribulations, believers learn to lean on the truth found in Scripture, which reveals God’s character and reassures us of His sovereignty and providential care. Engaging with the Word during hardships cultivates a deeper faith, transforming trials into opportunities to affirm and proclaim God's faithfulness.
