How do we know Christ is our Comforter?

Answered in 2 sources

We know Christ is our Comforter because He fulfills the role of Advocate, interceding for us and providing eternal comfort through His Spirit.

The assurance that Christ is our Comforter is grounded in His role as our Advocate. In 1 John 2:1, we are reminded that we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, who pleads our case and provides for our needs. Christ’s work on the cross secures our redemption, and He continues to intercede for us at the right hand of the Father. Furthermore, in John 14, He promises to send the Holy Spirit to dwell within us, further assuring us that we are never left alone. This constant presence of Christ through His Spirit provides lasting comfort amidst life’s trials.
