How do we know God has reconciled us to Himself?

Answered in 1 source

We know God has reconciled us because Scripture asserts that He has already accomplished this through Christ's death.

Our assurance of reconciliation comes from the biblical promise that God has reconciled us to Himself through Christ. Romans 5:10 states that we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son while we were still enemies. This reconciliation signifies that God has removed the barriers of sin that caused enmity between Himself and His elect. By imputing our sins to Christ and laying them upon Him, God has established peace with us, affirming that His justice and mercy beautifully converge in the Gospel.
