How do we know God is a refuge?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible assures us that God is known as a refuge for His people.

Psalm 48:3 states, 'God is known in her palaces for a refuge.' This verse emphasizes that the church, as the city of God, serves as a place where believers can find security. The eternal God is articulated as a refuge with everlasting arms that uphold and protect His people (Deuteronomy 33:27). God is a strong tower, a safe haven for the righteous who run to Him (Proverbs 18:10). In times of trouble and fear, He is the steadfast and unchanging refuge we can depend on.
