How do we know God is blessed and happy?

We know God is blessed and happy because His blessedness is intrinsic and independent of His creation.

God’s blessedness is an intrinsic quality of His being. He is described as possessing all good within Himself and being free from all evil (Job 35:6-8). Unlike human happiness, which can be affected by circumstances, God's happiness comes from His perfection and sovereignty. He does not receive happiness from His creatures, nor can anything diminish it. It is confirmed in Scripture that He is 'blessed forever' (Romans 9:5), indicating that His state of blessedness is not only complete but eternal and unchanging. Therefore, His delighted state stems from possessing all attributes of goodness, wisdom, and power.
