How do we know God is faithful in our death?

Answered in 1 source

God's faithfulness is assured to believers through His promises, and Jacob's words demonstrate that we will be gathered to our people after death.

The assurance of God's faithfulness in death is woven throughout Scripture. Jacob’s declaration to his sons about being gathered to his people illustrates a deep trust in God's covenant promises. Hebrews 12:23 reminds us of the assembly of the firstborn, assuring believers that upon death, they will be united in glory with the saints past. This promise is grounded in the faithfulness of God, which is further confirmed in the New Testament, such as in 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, where believers are reminded that while our outer man perishes, the inward man is renewed. Therefore, the believer's confidence lies in the faithful character of God, who fulfills His promises.
