How do we know God is working in us?

Answered in 1 source

We know God is working in us because He enables both our desires and our actions for His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).

According to Philippians 2:13, it is God who works in believers to will and to do of His good pleasure. This assurance supports the belief that any desire to pursue righteousness, obey, and engage in good works originates from God's internal working in our lives. It's not merely a result of self-effort or willpower, but a divine enablement that transforms our hearts and wills to align with His purpose. This is further affirmed in passages like Ezekiel 36:26-27, where God promises to give a new heart and put a new spirit in His people, thus facilitating their obedience.
