How do we know God's elect cannot be deceived?

Answered in 1 source

It is impossible for God's elect to be ultimately deceived because God has purposed their salvation.

In Matthew 24:24, Jesus states that it would be impossible for the elect to be deceived by false prophets. This assurance comes from the understanding that God has chosen His elect before the foundation of the world for salvation, as seen in Ephesians 1:4-5. Each believer possesses a new nature and the ability to discern truth, given by the Holy Spirit, ensuring they cannot permanently stray from God's path. This highlights the security of the believer, affirming that God’s purposes cannot be thwarted.
