How do we know God's providence and greatness?

Answered in 1 source

God's providence and greatness are evident through His creation, His acts in history, and His ongoing works in the lives of believers.

The recognition of God's providence and greatness is frequent throughout the Bible. In Psalm 145, the psalmist speaks of 'the might of thy terrible acts' and His greatness, encouraging believers to declare these truths. Touchpoints in biblical history, such as God's deliverance of Israel or creation itself, serve as markers of His providential hand and power. Believers also experience this greatness in their own lives through answered prayers and mercies bestowed upon them. As we remember and recount these experiences, we are led to praise God for His consistent faithfulness and sovereignty, which echoes throughout generations.
