How do we know God's will?

Answered in 3 sources

We discern God's will through scripture and the inward leading of the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:2).

Understanding God's will involves recognizing both His revealed will and the spirit-led guidance of believers. Romans 12:2 encourages Christians to be transformed by the renewing of their minds, which allows them to 'prove' or more accurately 'approve' what is good, acceptable, and perfect about God's will. This approval comes not from testing God's will like one would test an experiment, but rather from experiencing the goodness of living in accordance with His revealed standards. Ultimately, it is through personal spiritual growth and the guidance of the Holy Spirit that Christians can discern His will for their lives.
