How do we know God's will is always best for us?

Answered in 1 source

God's will is demonstrated through His Word and the assurance that He works all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

The assurance that God's will is best for us is rooted in the character of God, who is both sovereign and good. Romans 8:28 tells us, 'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.' This implies that God's purpose is inherently good and geared towards our ultimate benefit, even when circumstances seem difficult or contrary to our desires. In committing our way to the Lord, we acknowledge that His plans surpass our understanding and trust in His deeper wisdom.
