How do we know Jesus ascended into heaven?

Answered in 1 source

We know Jesus ascended because the Bible describes this event with eyewitness accounts and confirms it through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

The ascension of Jesus is confirmed in Scripture through multiple eyewitness accounts and prophetic fulfillment. In Acts 1:8-11, His ascension is witnessed directly by His disciples who are told by angels that He will return in like manner. Additionally, the events of Pentecost in Acts 2 are significant, as Peter explicitly states that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit was made possible by the exalted Christ, who was raised and seated at God's right hand (Acts 2:33). This dual confirmation—the physical ascension and the subsequent sending of the Holy Spirit—underscores the truth of His ascension and the continuation of His work of salvation and intercession for His people.
