How do we know Jesus cares for us in our suffering?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus demonstrates His care through His presence and His powerful words that can calm our storms.

In the face of suffering, believers can find comfort in the actions and words of Jesus. In Mark 4, when the disciples were fearful for their lives during a storm, they cried out, 'Master, carest thou not that we perish?' (Mark 4:38). Jesus, though sleeping, arose and calmed the storm, revealing His deep care for His followers. He reassured them with His presence and His assurance of peace. Beyond this, His sacrifice on the cross underscores His profound love, and His ability to empathize with our trials as a man who suffered. As Hebrews 2:17-18 states, He is a merciful High Priest who understands our struggles, providing the assurance that He indeed cares for us in our suffering.
