How do we know Jesus' judgment is true?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus' authority as judge is derived from His sacrificial death, which makes His judgment just and effective.

We can trust Jesus' judgment because it is rooted in His atoning sacrifice. His blood was shed for the sins of His people, allowing Him to pronounce pardon and forgiveness with authority. As noted in Romans 8:34, 'It is Christ that died,' indicating that His death was both a judgment against sin and the means of our justification. His role as judge is tied to His work of redemption; He did not just make redemption possible but actually accomplished it for His people. Without His effective atonement, judgment would lead to condemnation, but because He bore our sins, believers can stand justified before God. This leads us to honor and revere Him as the sole authority in matters of salvation.
