How do we know Jesus’s righteousness is imputed to us?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus’s righteousness is imputed to us through faith as a result of His sacrificial death.

The imputation of Christ’s righteousness is a foundational tenet of Reformed theology. The text teaches that our righteousness is not derived from our own efforts but is credited to us by Christ's finished work on the cross. According to Hebrews 2:10, Jesus, as the founder of our salvation, perfects us through His suffering. This means that when we trust in Him, His perfect righteousness is counted as our own, allowing us to stand justified before God. It is not our deeds that earn us favor, but the complete and finished work of Christ that secures our righteousness as part of our salvation.
