How do we know our souls are prospering?

Answered in 1 source

Our souls are prospering if we exhibit faith, good works, and a love for God's people.

Indicators of a prospering soul include active faith, love for the brethren, and engagement in good works as expressions of that faith. In 3 John, John recognizes Gaius's acts of charity and his faithful walk in truth, suggesting that a prospering soul is one that serves others and produces good fruit. Believers should also assess how they respond to God's Word and chastening. A soul that listens and heeds the teachings of God grows in wisdom and strength, which are essential components of spiritual prosperity. If one's life reflects these attributes, it suggests that their soul is indeed prospering in the Lord.
