How do we know salvation is God's work alone?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture declares that salvation is entirely by God's grace, and man's efforts play no role in it.

The Scripture is unequivocal that salvation is not a result of human will or effort but solely an act of God's mercy, as asserted in John 7:16-17 where Jesus states, 'If any man will do his will, he shall know the doctrine.' Ephesians 2:8-9 further reinforces this by declaring, 'For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.' This doctrine affirms that all glory for salvation belongs to God, and salvation is a divine work that excludes human merit.
