How do we know salvation is solely by God's work?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is described as the complete work of God, emphasizing His sovereignty in granting both repentance and faith.

The sovereignty of God in salvation is evident throughout Scripture. The Bible teaches that faith is not a natural occurrence in corrupt hearts but a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8-9). Every instance where individuals believe is attributed to God's operation, as seen in Colossians 2:12 and John 6:44. This understanding frees us from feeling responsible for who gets saved, allowing us to preach the gospel freely without discrimination, as it is ultimately God who draws His elect to Himself.
