How do we know that angels are not the same as the Son of God?

The distinction between angels and the Son of God is made clear in Scripture, particularly in Hebrews 1:5, which states, 'For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you?”' This shows that Christ possesses an eternal sonship that is not applicable to angels. Christ is begotten of the Father, affirming His divine nature and role as the Redeemer, whereas angels are created beings who do not share in this divine sonship. Their calling as 'sons of God' is metaphoric and reflects their status as obedient servants rather than a nativistic relationship with God like that of Christ.
