How do we know that Christ is our comforter?

The assurance that Christ is our comforter is rooted in His promise and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. In John 14:16-18, Jesus declares to His disciples that He will send 'another Comforter,' the Holy Ghost, who will abide with them forever. This Comforter is tasked with teaching believers and reminding them of Christ's words and love.
