How do we know that faith in Christ is genuine?

Answered in 3 sources

Genuine faith in Christ is recognized not just by belief in doctrines, but by a heartfelt trust and reliance on Him as our Savior.

In evaluating the authenticity of our faith, it’s crucial to distinguish between believing facts and genuinely believing in Christ. Many may affirm truths about Christ based on doctrine, yet true faith means entrusting oneself wholly to Him. This was illustrated with the disciples who followed Christ; they believed what He said until it contradicted their expectations. Genuine faith is deeply rooted in understanding that it was Christ's work on the cross that was performed for us, and it manifests itself in our love for Him, especially when challenges arise. It reminds us that faith can coexist with doubts, as reflected in the life of Abraham, who believed God despite his weaknesses.
