How do we know that faith is essential for contentment?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is essential for contentment because it enables us to trust in God’s promises amidst difficult circumstances.

Moses' life exemplifies that without faith, one cannot find true contentment. Hebrews 11:24-26 highlights that Moses chose to suffer affliction with the people of God rather than enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin in Egypt. This faith was a powerful gift from God that helped Moses look beyond his immediate struggles and see the eternal significance of his choices. In a world where worries and trials abound, our faith draws our gaze upwards, allowing us to trust that God is working everything out for our good, as seen in Romans 8:28.
