How do we know that God calls the chosen ones to salvation?

Answered in 1 source

In Scripture, God’s call is effectual, meaning those whom He calls will respond and come to Him.

The Bible teaches that God's call to salvation is effectual in nature (Romans 8:30). This means that when God calls His chosen ones, they will respond due to the irresistible grace bestowed upon them. The parable in Matthew 22 illustrates this by showing that many receive the call but only a few are actually chosen and accept. In John 6:44, Jesus states that no one can come to Him unless the Father draws him, reinforcing the belief that God's call is a specific and powerful act of His will. This hope underpins the assurance for believers and the urgency in sharing the gospel; we trust that God will call His elect through the faithful proclamation of His word.
