How do we know that God is fair in His dealings?

In Romans 3:26, we see that God's righteousness is maintained even as He justifies the ungodly through faith in Christ's sacrifice. This means that God does not compromise His justice; rather, He fulfills it through the blood of Christ, allowing Him to be both just and the justifier. The concept of fairness is rooted in God’s perfect character, which ensures that He is not arbitrary but genuinely acts in accordance with His nature. Because He first bore the penalty through Christ, He can justly forgive our transgressions.
