How do we know that God knows us?

Answered in 3 sources

We know God knows us through Scripture, which reveals His intimate understanding of our thoughts, actions, and lives.

Psalm 139 beautifully illustrates God's comprehensive knowledge of us. David declares, 'O Lord, thou hast searched me and known me,' indicating that God's knowledge encompasses not just our public life but also our innermost thoughts and struggles. This understanding deepens the believer's sense of security and acceptance before God. When God knows us, He knows every detail of our lives, be it our thoughts before we articulate them or our actions before we even take them. This profound assurance is echoed in 2 Timothy 2:19, where it states that 'the Lord knoweth them that are His,' reinforcing that God's knowledge is relational and personal.
