How do we know that God provides a way to escape temptation?

Answered in 2 sources

God promises in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that He will provide a way to escape every temptation we encounter.

In 1 Corinthians 10:13, it is written, 'But God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.' This assures believers of God’s commitment to us during times of temptation. His faithfulness means that while we may face trials that test our limits, those trials are accompanied by a divine enablement and a path to withstand them. This 'way of escape' is ultimately through faith in Christ. In Christ, we find the strength to endure and resist temptation, as He Himself was tempted but did not sin, and He empowers us to do the same by His Spirit. This guidance and strength are available when we seek communion with Him through prayer and the study of His Word.
