How do we know that God's grace is for Christ's sake?

Answered in 1 source

We know God's grace is for Christ's sake because Scripture explicitly asserts that mercy and blessing are rooted in Christ's work.

God’s grace is dispensed to His people for Christ's sake, as demonstrated in numerous passages. Ephesians 2:8-9 clearly states that salvation is by grace through faith, and this is not of ourselves, but is the gift of God. Furthermore, Romans 8 assures believers that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus, reinforcing that our standing and acceptance before God hinges solely on Christ’s sacrificial work. Therefore, every act of kindness, mercy, and blessing we receive from God is ultimately through Jesus Christ.
